This was our second time sailing on Carnival Sunshine. Next year, if the itinerary changes, we will choose this ship again!

This was our first experience cruising from Charleston and the process wasn't as smooth as it is at other ports. Also, we were left standing in line along the street waiting for approval to sail due to the coronavirus.

We have always selected a dining time in the past. This cruise, we chose your time dining. It was the same food, but the atmosphere was a little different. It was convenient, but not as personal.

I spent most of my time in the serenity spa and sunning on the serenity deck.

Due to the coronavirus, Carnival was obsessive about cleaning. We couldn't turn around without bumping into a hand sanitizer station. One morning, a Carnival employee, stood outside the buffet area guarding the door. He would not open the door until each person washed their hands for 12 seconds in front of him.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first experience in a serenity cabin. Going forward, if we aren't cruising with our children, we will always choose this area. It wasn't as convenient when riding elevators, but it was worth the longer wait time!
We spent the day at the beach, which was beautiful. I probably won't choose this port for future cruises. I was overwhelmed getting off the boat. I felt like we were attack by local citizens, trying to sell us goods and services.
