We loved this cruise and paid a reasonable price. The food and entertainment were great!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. We had a party of 6 with us, we got to port at 11:00 AM and were on boat by 11:45 AM. We did not purchase faster to the fun. Our rooms were ready at 1:20 PM. Our bags arrived by 2:00PM.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room every evening (My Time) and had brunch on our sea days. The steaks were especially delicious but everything was good. We loved our server #1 and asked for him each night. I love how Carnival entertains! We ate at Guy’s burgers and Ji Ji’s for lunch, both were very good. The chocolate extravaganza was great as well.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Serenity deck, which is the Adult area. The pool had freezing water so no one used it unless they wanted a polar challenge. We enjoyed the casino and the 80’s trivia.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We watched the Studio VIP show which was good, and the Epic Rock show was great. The piano bar and comedy were also good.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I can’t express how much I love Carnival’s Customer Excellence. Everyone was super nice and of course FUN.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was clean. We did experience a sewage smell when we left Charleston. It didn’t last long but was atrocious. Everything else was awesome and clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an inside stateroom, we got a great deal. We slept well as it’s stays super dark. We were not in the room much so the size was not a bother.
Ship tip
The kitchen is located floor 3 so if you want to get to the back of the ship you have to go to floor 4.
We got transportation to Cabbage beach. I would recommend to spend the money and go to a resort or another beach. I felt like the vendors were vultures trying to sale us Coconuts and chairs.
Debarkation was a breeze. I recommend using a porter as it is quicker. One thing to always keep in mind is to take it easy, don’t be in such a rush as it is difficult to get over 3000 people off a ship early AM. If flying always pick flights later or stay a day in Charleston on the end, so you will not have to stress on that.
