Review summary

I haven’t been on a cruise in twelve years and the only improvement was the food. Most crew were professional and very nice. The ship itself was nice. Getting on and off the ship was faster but could be more organized and faster.

Dining was very good, only one night I wasn’t particularly thrilled with my choices for dinner.

Some activities were too crowded, late comedy clubs, seating was inadequate. Not enough deck chairs in the sun.

Dining staff (Martin) and room staff (Danu) were fabulous! Bars were understaffed and most bartenders seemed unmotivated and acted as if they were literally being paid by the hour (SLOW)! All staff need to be able to direct passengers to all locations particularly dining rooms - not pull out a map to figure it out! Spend more time than necessary looking for locations due to bad directions.

Only complain was Shower overflowed every use - poor design or inadequate shower curtain not sure?

Ship tip

Study layout of ship, don’t depend on staff, be prepared to walk a lot, up and down steps since elevators are overcrowded and slow and often given misdirection by crew.

Took the early option - told to go to 4th floor, on 4th sent to 3rd, send to second dragging suitcase up and down stairs - unorganized!

Well you went on a very old ship, so its not a surprised that you were not "Wow'd" after not cruising for 12 yrs. Lol Net time try a new ship, or a different cruise line like RC or NCL.

Highly recommend the Carnival Sunshine and Port of Charleston. My wife and I took our preteen daughters on a four-day cruise to Nassau. Stayed in suite 9107 which has a floor-to-ceiling window instead of balcony. On our second day at sea saw dolphins
