Review summary

It was nice that they had wine for the adults due to us being soaked from the storm. My daughter got food poisoning from blue iguana. The outdoor entertainment was not great. No real pools to relax in and the hot tub was taken over by kids and their ice cream. The adult serenity area had 1 hot tub and it was always full. People just left their food on elevators and staircases. The water park wasn't open like it was supposed to be. We probably won't take this cruise ship again. I can say though the main dining room and half moon cay mad it worth it all.

Embarkation

Fast and easy but pouring rain. The ship had wine waiting for us!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was amazing. My daughter got food poisoning from the blue iguana cantina. Breakfast was pretty much the same everyday on the lido deck for 5 days, but there were other breakfast options with long wait times. Drinks are really expensive. My husband doesn't drink so getting the drink package isn't worth it, because you can't buy just one. Buying drinks individually adds up quickly.

RedFrog Pub

On deck 5 inside the ship. Jefferson and Annak were awesome! Best bartenders. I made sure I went to them anytime I needed a drink.

Onboard Activities

We did do the sky track. The water park seemed to always be closed. So we didn't really get to play on it. 1 basketball hoop for the all kids. Only 1 pool and 1 hot tub. There were kids were eating ice cream in the hot tub.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Shows were great. They had plenty to do for entertainment.

Children's Programs

My kids did not like the kids clubs anytime we have been on the ships.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Andy our room steward was fantastic. Our wait staff in the main dining room were attentive. We had Jose and Riri. They were entertaining and knew exactly when to bring our food.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Design was fine. The common area cannot be blamed on staff. The ship guests could careless where they leave their food. Food plates and cups left on elevators and staircases. This was the first ship I was on where the guests were rude and didn't watch their kids.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The bathroom door and balcony door is broken. It was comfortable and Andy took care of everything we needed.

Ship tip

For sun bathing it's good, for pools and outdoor entertainment this isnt a good ship for that despite the water park. It's not enough for all the people. The water park was hardly open. My kids got to go once. The sports square is kind of a joke. 1 basketball hoop, we didn't even get to play.

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

Beautiful area. We went to the Angel Tree. It's free to see it. They have a little gift shop, but they are very strict in there. They won't even let you look in the books!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
It was the best part of the trip. I would be happy if this was the only port, and the boat docked for 2 days here.

Nassau, Bahamas

We debated on getting off. Last time we were hounded by locals to buy things. We didnt enjoy ourselves. We go off to go to a store real quick but it wasn't as bad as last time. We wound up staying and walking around.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to carry off our own luggage, so we got off the boat first. We skipped the bus and walked back to the car.
