We did have a good vacation and made the best of it despite some setbacks due to the weather.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was so fast. We didn’t stop at all and we’re out of breathe by the time we got on the ship. Everything was fast paced, but I loved it. That just meant we got on ASAP.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Buffet was not very good. Food didn’t taste great. Food choices were very limited. MDR was good though. However there was nothing too memorable.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
We did a few trivias, but found that there just wasn’t much to do on this ship. We were bored most of the time. We did enjoy the little water park and pool, but it was always pretty crowded. It was nearly impossible to find a seat on the serenity. We did cruise during Dorian and had an extra Seaday instead of going to HMC. Normally I wouldn’t mind sea days, but there just didn’t seem to be a lot going on.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
The DJ looked bored and the nightclubs were not that fun. One night the DJ felt the need to stop the music to tell a guest to get off the dance floor because he was too drunk. Why couldn’t the security handle that? It really killed the mood. He also didn’t play good music. But We tried to make the most of it.
A performer got injured during the Epic Rock show so they had to end the show early. It was very sad and taken care of quickly, but it was the last night and we were really looking forward to the show.
The Love and Marriage show was entertaining as usual.
The comedy shows were good too.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
The children’s staff were great. Our kids had the best time. There were always fun activities for them.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was amazing. Our room steward and our waitstaff were the happiest and most pleasant people we could ever encounter. We loved them so much and they made our cruise so good.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was actually really nice. It was enough room for us. It was set up for 5 people but we had all five of our you f children sleeping with us, and we were still comfortable. Two of our kids were assigned to my parents’ room but they wanted to stay with us. Our room steward kept it clean and tidy throughout our trip. He came in twice a day to clean.
Ship tip
Enjoy your vacation the way you want. Don’t blame the cruise line if you’re miserable. Even though we were bored because there wasn’t that many exciting things to do, we still had a great time. We did love the secret decks at the front of deck 6 and 7. It was always empty and relaxing.
We love Nassau because most people get off at this port and we get the ship to ourselves. Also the childcare staff will take your kids to lunch so we had a kid free, relaxing day. We got to really enjoy the serenity area. We’ve been to Nassau enough times to not look forward to walking into the port.
Super easy debarkation. We did wait and were one of the last ones off. It was stress free and we found our luggage so easily. We have 5 kids with one being in a stroller so a port employee quickly offered to get us a porter to help us with our luggage. He brought a cart and helped us bypass the long customs line.
