Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin size was decent. It’s a balcony room with a double twin to make a king. Also had a couch unknown if that opened to a bed or not. Had a mini fridge which was very loud. Had a tv. Plenty of storage for clothing and other stuff. Air conditioning was terrible. Couldn’t adjust it and it seemed to never get cool enough for us. It also dripped water the first night on the corner of the bed and into our suit case. About 1/3rd of the lights in the ceiling flickered and finally burned out. Phone would only work on speaker phone. Bathroom toilet was not clean, had black marks all the way around it. Shower and sinks were nice and clean. Floor was clean through out.. except under the bed which we found Doritos chips which we never ate so who knows how long they they were there for. They were still there when we left

Ship tip

Decent ship. Get to your shows early as the seating is very minimal.

Ports of call

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

This port you are backed up against a dock. Really cool looking island as it’s very Mountainous. Looks like a jungle. We did the all exclusive catamaran, snorkeling, lunch and open bar. You take a bus to the northeast side of the island. You get to see the life styles of the DR. It’s very crazy and I highly recommend staying with your tour and not wondering around on you’re own. Everyone is on motorcycles and just very dangerous. But as for the excursion it was awesome. We had a great time. The water isn’t that blue green you see in the Bahamas and grand Turks, but once you get in for snorkeling, it’s crystal clear and coral every where. Water is also very warm. Had a great time on the catamaran excursion

Grand Turk Island

This port you are tied to a dock about 200-300 ft off the shoreline. It’s super crazy looking. Great island. We did the clear bottom kayak tour. Which was fun. Got to take a open Safari style bus to the other side of the island. With this you get to see how the islanders live. The tour guide on the kayak trip was phenomenal.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

This port you anchor off the island and take water taxi in. Nice beach with ship in the background. We did swimming with sting rays. It was fun
