Review summary
Poor service from Carnival on October 14, through October 19th 2019, on the Sunshine. We proceeded to Guest Services as we couldn’t get the Hub App to open once we arrived on the ship,which you had promoted the entire time I planned this vacation. Your representative stated that because our phones had the 13.0 I couldn’t down load it she stated it wouldn’t work! I had no way of staying in touch with the friends I went with. Our cabin steward didn’t clean our room on Tuesday the 15th after we had asked for the 10 am cleaning. We arrived back to our room at 3:15 pm to shower and get ready for dinner. We had no towels to use, took 2 calls and 40 minutes to just get towels. Guest Services offered nothing by way of apology when we went to speak with them in person. We wanted to make sure our room would be cleaned when we arrived back to our room after dinner. The food was awful I found hair in mine twice! Different days same place. Your representative of the Java Cafe closed up early twice, we would go for our shakes and she would reply “I’m sorry we are closed “. When we stated the fun times shows you are to be open, again she replied we are closed. Very upsetting!!! Upon entering the casino the cigarette smoke was so thick we couldn’t even play the slots!! 25 minutes was the normal wait time to get a drink. There were 2-3 bartenders per bar trying to serve over 3000 people. A better system or provide more bartenders. I am most annoyed that I wasted a morning at Nassau. We booked the excursion the top 10 best sites of Nassau. This truly is a made up tour, you would think that Carnival would look at what you’re promoting for the excursions. Also it was disorganized and it started off late we had to wait on our bus that wasn’t there. On our last dinner in the MDR my waiter gave my food to another person at the table, they had started eating it before he realized it wasn’t what he ordered. I was given another person’s plate but politely passed it to them. My food was finally delivered after my husband and friends had finished their dinner. They didn’t even get my drink right, I asked for a glass of wine. My impression of Carnival Cruise Line has been tarnished, and I am now concerned about how other people will be effected if these behaviors are not addressed. This was my first cruise ever, there will be no existing cruise for us.Furthermore, Carnival has had the inability to deliver on this cruise , a vacation wasted!Embarkation
