If you enjoy late night comedy shows like we do, don’t choose the late dining room option. If you enjoy pool time, arrive early to get the sunny seat you want because you have 4 Sea Days on this cruise. Get off the ship at every port and do something even if it’s just walking to Margaritaville in Grand Turk (maybe less than 1/2 mile each way).
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very well organized embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining room menus were typical Carnival with a few new items we hadn’t seen before. Buffets were well stocked and excellent for all 3 meals.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Serenity pool was tiny with the usual limited seating area. We could never get a chair but it looked okay. Main pool was small also for this size ship. Again, as usual, limited seating unless you arrived before 8:30am.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Stage shows were great. Musicians/DJs around the ship were great. Comedians were excellent. Even though we only attended a few shows in the comedy club, we were able to see all four comedians. Instead of late night shows, both groups of comedians did a late night showcase in the main performance lounge. Great shows but different experience in a larger setting.
Children's Programs
Did not bring our children on board this trip.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
A+ for this staff all around. Everyone from our room steward (Muli) to the Cruise Director Mikey were on point every day!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Comedy club was too small. Otherwise, the rest of the ship was very clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Aside from not having a refrigerator, room was excellent. Perfect size for a couple. Always very clean. No issues with temperature control.
Ship tip
Do not choose late dining option. While the food and service were great, you will not make late night comedy shows because of the schedule.
We took a cab to RIU Palace Attila’s to enjoy our Resort for a Day pass. Great resort! Bring a change of clothes if you plan to eat in the buffet dining room. No swimsuits allowed.
We visited Santa Barbara Golf and Beach Resort with our Resort for a Day pass. Transportation was included with purchase so no issue getting to or from. Not much beach access at this resort. No ocean access but nice beach area behind a man made breakwater on the cove leading to a marina.
Very well organized. If you plan to retrieve your luggage from the baggage area, you have to go designated area day before disembarkation to get your own luggage tags unless your a Platinum or Diamond member. This was a new process.
