Mikey was an awesome cruise director... loved him. The staff were all amazing and friendly. The only thing I will reconsider when cruising with Carnival is the amount of guests on the ship - it was insane. Way too many! Royal Caribbean was not like that. It was hard to sit down to eat, hard to get seats for shows, hard to get by some places... just way to many people.
Embarkation

Smooth and pretty easy
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was ok in my opinion. Lots of variety...
loved the omelette station but always long lines. Loved the deli, and the dining room area eating, the Buffet was probably my least favorite with the food being a tad bland.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There was a lot to do, so it was important to keep informed with the printed schedules given on the cruise.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
They did their job well -you can tell they work hard to entertain, the only complaint I have is the rock and roll show on the last night. Our whole family attended and in my own opinion, I didn’t think it was kid friendly - as the girls in the show were groping themselves in a sexual manner as part of the dances, and their boobs were half out...
the DJ was great -
Didn’t get a chance to see the comedian(s)
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
Three of my children didn’t care for the kids program. No details, just said it was boring.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All that we came across were amazing - George was a great room steward, and all the food waiters/waitresses were great.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Took us a few days to get the hang of where places were at but over all it was great. Yes, always clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Everything was good concerning our cabin - except the fact that upon arrival, we did have hairs and a yellowish stain on our sheet.
Loved the family day all inclusive beach excursion, although it was rainy and windy most of the day - it was a great experience. From our drive to and from our excursion we didn’t see much of anything else - just houses and a few stores that seemed abandoned, so we think maybe that’s why Carnival brings tourists there; to build up the economy on the island..?
In 2013 the capacity of this ship was increased by about 500 passengers. Which is why it felt overcrowded. Unfortunately they are doing the same thing to its sister ships, the Victory and the Triumph.
