Review summary

This is probably my least favorite ship thus far. It seemed like there was a lot of movement on a calm day. There were some really awful smells in the hallways. I didn’t like that the comedy club doubled as the night club, it just didn’t work. However, the serenity area was amazing and I did enjoy the Red Frog Pub.

I have been on many Carnival Ships..Sunshine twice..Both times not a very pleasant experience. Service is horrible, food is always cold. Only WARM meal was breakfast in the main dinner room, HOT meal was in the Steakhouse. Wait time was horrific in the dining room after being seated.. One night 30 minutes to be acknowledged, 10 minutes more to get menu, another 20 minutes for bread, water, drinks, 10 more to take order. We were there 2hrs for dinner. The smells in the hallways were terrible, very strong on the Aft end. Smoke in the CASINO was coming out into the hallways. Apparently either no exhaust or very little. I really cant say anything good about Sunshine.

We cruised on sunshine last April to southern Caribbean it was very rocky the entire 8 days. Still enjoyed our cruise but missed out on something’s bc of the motion

We went Nov of 2017 on the sunshine and the 1st night we went through a storm. Captain warmed everybody, and tried to avoid the worse of it but it was bad. They were handing out bonaire and putting barf bags in and near the elevators. I thought after that 1st night it would be smooth. I thought wrong. In calm water we could still feel the ship rocking. I swore I would never cruise again after the sunshine. But the next year we went on the breeze and I fell in love with that ship. Not one time did I feel rocking.

I agree ...love carnival and all there ships..but the sunshine was lots of movement and my least favorite .we still had a great time cause it is Carnival!

I agree with you. While I got spoiled by The Dream when it was new, I had higher hopes for the Sunshine and we smelled the odor as well as felt major movement such that we had to hold on during our spring break voyage, 3/24-29. The water was sloshing out of the pool.

Have to agree with Monicalk, the boat rocked too much and the hallways smelled funky. The rest of the ship was ok but I have no desire to go on the Sunshine again.

I was on a 13 day on the Sunshine in January, only felt movement 1 day. Never smelled any bad odor. Agree about the limelight lounge, bad layout.
