I have been cruising twice per year since 1994 and have traveled on many Carnival ships. The food quality was not great at all. We dined in the steakhouse and had to send it back because the steak was so bland and had zero flavor. Also had a disappointing experience in the Italian restaurant! Who on earth is even capable of messing up Italian!!!? This was a real shock for us since we have always loved the food on every carnival ship we have been on. But on the plus side, at least we both lost weight on this trip. I lost 5lbs.

The bars on the pool deck were not good at all. I'm not a huge drinker by any means so I would never complain about a weak drink but the cocktails were very watered down. And for me that is saying something considering that I get tipsy after just one half of a good cocktail...not here though, you could serve any mixed drink to a 5 yr old! Not joking

Our cabin steward was wonderful and took very good care of us but the toilet was not flushing almost every single day. We kept having to call the plumber.

I would skip this boat and pick another ship.

The beaches were pretty but not as nice as Aruba or Curacao. Next time I would book a snorkel excursion rather than do what we did and get a taxi to take us to the beach. Also, the beach was a bit too full of sea weed for my liking.

Agreed, we sailed on her, and the Cruise was Okay (But it was a Cruise though, Bad Cruise is better than a Good day Working, though). We have determine that we like New (or Newer/ 5 years or less) Ships. When I see Rust on a Ship its a MAJOR turnoff, which the Sunshine had. We recently sailed on Carnival Horizon (Brand New !!!) and had a wonderful time. No old ships for us...

Sunshine is great. Why did you not season your steak yourself. They have many, many people that like things different ways. One persons seasoning choice may not be another’s choice. Love the Sunshine. Love Carnival Steakhouse food!!!!!!

We were on it in 2016 and would NEVER go back on the sunshine, my opinion is it's the worst ship they have, but to each his own. We just didnt like it.
