For the $$ Sunshine is a good boat. Would definitely ride it again for a trip to the Bahamas
Embarkation

The crew at Port Canaveral were quick. The traffic to the port was a bit nuts but we were on the boat in about an hour once we got in line.

Food and Dining

We ate in all locations except the Sushi bar and the Steakhouse. Pleased with the food. No lobster on elegant night but the menu was fresh and well presented. More offerings on the Vista when we sailed in July but solid food options

This is a gem. The breakfast burritos are awesome and they even had arepas which was great - as a native Venezuelan that was awesome to see. At lunch you can get burritos and tacos and the secret option is to get a bowl of the fixings minus the shell. Super good option.
Onboard Activities

Cloud9 Spa is great and Emma the cruise director is outstanding. Pools are a negative for the boat because there are only two on the entire ship-one for the general public and one on the Serenity deck.
Fitness center is a good size with plenty of equipment.
Entertainment

The stage shows are awesome and DJ Herc does a great job throughout the cruise. Again Emma is an outstanding cruise director.

There were more hits than misses—Overall the cruise staff was very hospitable and friendly.

This ship, with its redesign in 2013/2014, is a mini Vista with a much large Serenity deck. Having been on on the Vista we were pleased with the offerings. The boat is smaller so obviously a bit more cramped and we missed the outside walkways provided on the Vista but for the price they Sunshine is a great option with good food and drink options including the Red Frog Pub which is a cool option for travelers.
Cabin / Stateroom

Having a Cloud9 balcony was great so we could access the spa area. It doesn’t have a hot tub like other Cloud9’s which was a bummer but still we got a good use out of it. The room offers great size with sofa and three closets.
Ship tip
Enjoy the Serenity Deck. It’s the largest offering of the entire Carnival lineup with a waterfall too!
A bit unorganized. Vista, with more passengers, did a better job getting folks off BUT Sunshine was good because of its number of elevators (12 I think) which made it easy to get down to the 3rd floor
