Review summary

this was the second cruise we had been on but the first for this boat and port Charleston. We had to wait outside in the sun for 4hrs just to board the boat, thank god we did not have our three year old. The boat was big and clean but there was no room with the amount of people on the boat. The people were nice as always and helpful. Between the way to crowed boat there was no seating available every anywhere, the food was not good and not much to offer compared to the last boat we were on. Big let down and had no organizing at all or with the port. They over booked the excursion and we have long wait which cut into our time

It's a SHIP. My head hurt after reading that "B" word so many times. But seriously, I have 14 days until my 1st time on Sunshine.

Charleston was the easiest port we ever used and we never had to stand or wait outside but were there early. We have never booked excursions with carnival and had no issues with outside companies private companies do offer sometimes smaller groups. The bigger the ship the more people.

have cruised her twice, have 2 more booked on her over next 2years... we thoroughly enjoy her. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience.

Perhaps the common areas were designed poorly and do not comfortably accommodate a full ship of passengers. This certainly won't be advertised to the public.

CCL Sunshine is a self contained SHIP/city with a population over 2600 passengers. Probably secluded "land" vacation would fit your needs better.

I agree with treasivls if you don't like crowds go to the mountains they fill the ship that why it's called a fun ship

You willing to spend the amount of money on a cruise and don't do any research, I don't see why you complaining. I don't get people who complain about the crowd, they book to fill the ship. If you are not happy with it charter a yacht and you can get exactly what you want.
