Review summary

We always love cruising and not having to cook, or clean. We had many sleepless nights. Next time we won't let a travel agent choose our room. We will do our homework. We booked far in advance not to have been stuck below the Liquid lounge. The ports were great. Everything else about the cruise was great.

Call Carnival direct and talk to Alysa , we have never been displeased with her advice

If you book the cruise online yourself you can pick which room you want.

@DMattice ...Deckplangenius.com is also great website for checking out individual staterooms before you cruise. They have a whole list of pros and cons for every room. 👍

What room number did you have?

Look for a deck that has cabins above and below you. Our PVP at Carnival knows where we like to have our cabin. If you would like the name of our PVP please message me and I will give you her name and number.

if you spent a lot of time in your room, as we do, which is why we get balcony rooms, that would be a bummer. sometimes, I want crowds, sometimes not. I did think of that when I booked my own cruise because my TA, God rest her soul, always thought of everything. Next time will be better I'm sure.

There is a web site called" cruise ship deck plans" that is a great site to check out before Booking a cruise

Yes as a rookie cruiser we once were below the night club..... never again. You learn from your mistakes. Not only do I look what's above and below, but now also ask for no adjoining door. We did that a few cruises ago , not knowing our neighbors. And you could hear everything through the door. We did not complain as it was 2 girls having s good time but we heard them talking and playing their music. But we went to bed late and they were quiet by the time we slept. The walls were fine....the door was not insulated at all. It could have been much worse.

WHY WOULD ANYONE GIVE A CRUISE LINE ONLT 3 STARS FOR A STUPID MISTAKE MADE BY A TRAVEL AGENT???????

katj    7 years ago

The cruiselines should do a better job at insulating cabins that share wall/floor space with public areas.
