Review summary

What a disappointment!

Ship was filthy.....especially carpet Lido buffet area. If this had been a restaurant on land would have walked out never to return. Food was never hot....what a disappointment!

Deck areas not cleaned often....saw food etc laying around.

Saw decline in the number of crew....except bar attendants.

Smelled cigarette smoke in cabin...were informed it was from casino underneath us. Cabin was not even made up one night.

This was our 26 cruise....I have never given a bad review of any other cruises.

We have certainly seen the decline of Carnival over the years.

PLEASE choose another cruise line...even if cost a few more dollars. You'll be glad you did. Wish we had😏

We have never looked forward to a cruise being over....glad to get home!

Food in Lido buffet never hot. Only ate in dining room few times. Poor service. Due to Carnivals lax dress code felt like we were eating at a fast food restaurant on land!

We have never been on such a filthy ship! I really think Carnival is lowering its standards so much...they will see a decline in loyal customers.

Cabin / Stateroom

Standard inside cabin. In bathroom bottom of door had a large rusted out area. Linens looked dingy. I would say equivalent to a 2 Star hotel.

Ship tip

Don't go!!!! If you do go....avoid Lido Buffet. Guys hamburgers were good....but who wants to eat hamburgers entire cruise!

Sounds like your just a hatter, we've been on 24 carnival cruises, and the only issue we have ever had was a cabin design change. So we will never book that cabin again. Leaving tomorrow on Sunshine and sure we will Love it.

Just got off the Sunshine yesterday 2/12 and never saw any of this, I thought the Crew did a excellent job on keeping the ship clean in every venue and hallways, As for Cigarette smoke I would not know because I was on Deck 9 in the front of ship. Emma was probably one of the best cruise directors that I have seen on any ship I have been on and this was my 30th cruise with at least half of them being on Carnival. I had a couple of issues with bar service one night but a cruise is what you make of it, You can find something wrong with everything on a ship if u want to. I definitely would sail the Sunshine again. Also make sure you do the Sea Day Brunches and you probably will not ever go back to the lido deck buffet again

I was on the Sunshine on January 29th cruise... and saw none of that. In fact, might go on to say it was the most well maintained Carnival sailing I've ever been on. Come to think of it, they all have been quite clean.

anytime I'm on carnival I have the best time! going in April as long as there is sunshine and my drinking glass is clean I'm a happy girl!

Of all those 26 cruises were any other Carnival? If so, apparently they were good. Just because you had one bad cruise you are done with Carnival now??? Forget about all the good ones? That's logical.
