Review summary

Just a short getaway to relax and have some fun.  Sunshine staff was attentive and working hard to give great service.  Found the food to be hit or miss, with some very good food and some average but with endless choices you could always have something you would enjoy.  Didn't take in any shows but in the lounge areas the duo from the Phillipines were excellent as was Patrick in the Piano Bar.  Special shout out to our cabin steward Victor.  We only saw him a couple of times but we knew he was there because our cabin was well taken care of and loved the towel animals every evening.  Our cabin 8154 was very, very nice, near the elevator so quite convenient to all public areas of the ship.  Noise near the elevator wasn't an issue on this cruise as there were not many children aboard.  In the dining room we thank Peter and his assistants for their friendly, courteous, very efficient service.  We did find it slightly inconvenient to have to check in on the 5th floor to reserve a table on the 3rd floor with our anytime dining.  The weather was on the cool side, no rain and some folks still used the pool.  No difficulty getting a spot to sit outside.  Port of St. John, New Brunswick was interesting, especially coming in with a full moon in the Bay of Fundy.  The highest tides  in the world are here.   Took the pink Hop on Hop off bus to see the highlights and enjoyed this tour.  Stop at Lily Lake Restaurant for a cocktail and bowl of soup for some of us and a picturesque location for all.  Back in town only 2 blocks from  the ship we enjoyed a fantastic Lobster Roll at Callahan's, a local pub.  We enjoyed our getaway to St. John and now that we've seen it we are on to other destinations, mostly in warmer locations.
