Review summary

First time with Carnival did not meet our expectations.

Too much emphasis drinking and gambling!!!!!

Library was very dark.

disappointed with the buffet and the entertainment!!!!!!!

No closed lounge for peace and quiet with a view of the ocean.

Love carnival and loved the sunshine. Shows were awesome. My husband and I took part in the VIP part of one of the shows. We had a great time. Emma the cruise director is awesome!!! Have a blast!

Exactly how did they push the gambling on you?

I agree OceanSky. Before I went on a cruise people told me that Royal Caribbean was more quiet with less kids and Carnival was more for families and singles. Last year I went on RCCL and it was very quiet and laid back. I actually like that though. This year we are doing a carnival cruise. From what we hear it doesn't match our lifestyle but we like to form our own opinion. Here's to hoping 🍻

That's why they call themselves the funships. I've been on other cruise lines and I keep coming back to Carnival because it fits me perfect. I've tried RCL and found it very boring. Tried NCL and found it boring as well. Tried Disney and is definitely the best cruise I've ever took but is family oriented specially for kids. My son of course love it, but he's a little older now and he loves Carnival. It's like Oceansky said, it all depends on what you want and like. Sounds like Carnival is not you cup of tea so move on to the next one. From the sounds of it, I think you will be a perfect fit for RCL. Good luck.🛳👍😁

Glad to know it's still the fun ship cruise line and not the geriatric line.
