Review summary

Great ports of call. Carnival did great job by switching up the order of ports to skirt storm Hermaine. On board activities were so so. Food was mediocre but service by staff was excellent. Ship was clean but got tired of having to cross thru the casino to get from one end of the ship to the other for shows. Smoky smell in casino needs addressed. Would recommend this cruise though.

Oka our cabin steward kept ice for us well stocked

Ship tip

Guys Burger is a must for lunch. When you eat in the Lido go out to the Havana bar area for seat. Always places out there. Also try the pasta bar for lunch.

Didn't get to spend anytime exploring NYC. Next time! However be sure to be on port side up front of ship as you leave. Great view of Lady Liberty and the bridge! Also great view when you return. Get up early to see worth it!

Boston, Massachusetts

Didn't really care for our guide as he like to use swear words a lot. We also felt we didn't get to see several historical sites like Bunker Hill and Boston Commons and the Cheers Bar. After tour had plenty of time to explore the Market and walk some of freedom trail. Saw Commons on our own. Would have liked to have seen The Marathon finish site as well. Took cab back to ship. $20.00 for 4 people.

Just get excursion to Peggy's Cove early then just come back to harbor. Lots to see and do within walking distance of the ship. We did Peggy's cove in am the the hop on /off Would've liked more time at the Cove. However on hop off /on we got off at stop 6 and found Willman's Resturant fantastic chowder and fish and chips with local flair!

I sailed sunshine last August and am doing it again next October. Having to go from front of the ship to the back is a pain on the lower levels because 2 decks don't cross the length of the ship. We did my time dining and where we checked in, we had to go through the casino to get there because it was right behind it. We had a spa balcony. After that we had to go down 2 flights of stairs to eat.

We were in an aft balcony on deck 5 and had to cross through the casino often. Melissa, Laura, Henry and the entire staff were friendly and made you feel like family. Our room had a refrigerator; big plus. Plenty of food; some better than others. Recommend Farenheit Steak Restaurant. Shows were good and bingo was fun; even won some money. Can't wait for next cruise.

Why did you have to go through the casino? I don't understand why people keep saying that. We're was your cabin? We were on the Sunshine and never went into the casino. We were on deck 9 next to the back set of elevators.
