Review summary

Our most favorite part of the cruise was our conversations with crew members.

The ship needs an overall. The cabins were small, the bathrooms were not easy to navigate. More public rest rooms are needed, garbage cans were scarce. The lido deck was over crowded, not enough room for eating in the buffet /lido deck. Serpendity deck had too many under age people. Food was not the best, neither was the entertainment.

i would not recommend the Carnival Sunshine to anyone.

Don't complain that it's crowded if you're going the prime time of summer #yikes and they show the bathrooms on the deck plans and there's also staff on every floor

Remember there's 1 or 2 on every ship. Ship holds 3,000 +. Most all times they sail full and if majority felt the numbers are too large and did not book the cruise then changes would be made.

Our luggage didnt arrive till 8:30pm....everyone was complaining.....they were still delivering luggage at midnight.....i have never had that happen in all the cruises i have taken....my suggestion would bring some toiletries and bathing suit in a carry on bag

Yes its crowded in the summer but ship should be able to handle crowd....sunshine can not handle the crowd....so maybe before they added more rooms they should have thought if ship amenities could handle the overload of people....it could not

You wilk be fine. Enjoy it. Make sure you have yiur bathing suit handy when you get on board. Sometimes luggages gets delivered late usually when they get selected to be examined. Last time my husband had to wait for his.

I'm going in November before the holiday. I'm hoping it won't be too bad. The cruise we went on last December went very well. After the first day it was very low key and it wasn't over crowded. It was a different cruise line but I'm hoping that the time of year will work in our favor.

Disappointed in sunshine but i did go in august...in all the cruises i have been on this ship has the smallest pools. Adult pool was standing room only, halfway thru trip pool was very cloudy just too many people. Dining room staff was pleasant but kitchen was very slow getting food out. We averaged two hours, we went to dinner early enough so we didn't miss shows. Shows were good. By the third day they ran out of budweiser and java cafe ran out of root beer and vanilla ice cream, they close at 11pm, but staff closes the cafe at 10:30. First night didn't get our luggage till 8:30 pm which was very frustrating, had left our house at 6am would have like to change or go to pool. Friends said got there luggage at midnight

Only have positive things to say about the Sunshine. I've sailed on her twice and haven't had any of the same issues as KseyJohn. It's a beautiful ship with all the 2.0 upgrades and plenty of options in terms of food, fun and activity.

We just got off of the Sunshine and there were never kids in the Serenity Section. However, the pool was crowded but we enjoyed cooling off in it to get out of the sun. The only line we had at lunch was at Guys burgers and the deli was sometimes busy. Enjoy your trip!!

Well I am booked for April 2017 however it is there opinion. Let's not bash them for that because eveyone cruise experience is different. This may not be the ship for them or cruise line. So let's offer suggestions and support fellow cruisers.

Please... Don't listen to this guy! The sunshine has been our favorite ship so far! We loved the awesome pool on the serenity deck with the beautiful waterfall. Gorgeous ship and the food is ALWAYS great on Carnival! We sailed August 2015

I agree @ppenn, we went on our cruise in early December and there was only a handful of kids. It was in between the holiday breaks. .... @5luv2cruise I feel the same way. We all have different experiences. It's nice to hear the good and the bad. It gives you a better idea on what to expect.

Cruise ships are busy especially in the summer. Thats why we are going in the middle of September when kids are back in school. We went on the Paradise years ago when it was really outdated but we still lived it. You have to work around the buffet...go earlier or later not at noon. I agree the lido decks get busy, you just have relax. As far as Serenity deck having kids...get a steward.

Anyone sailing on the Sunshine will not be disappointed. If Emma is the cruise director then that is an added bonus. She is awesome. The ship is beautiful and the entertainment is terrific -dancers, singers, jugglers, magicians, comedians. Not sure what these other people are looking at. We always met at the Havana room at lunch. We always found a seat there and it was cooler in that room. We will not be disappointed.

Truly puzzled by the fact that every time someone gives an honest opinion of their experience on this site, they are attacked. Is that not the whole point of reading reviews? Hearing the good and the bad that everyone else experienced helps us to plan a better trip. If nobody is allowed to point out anything negative without being ridiculed, it makes the reviews much less useful.

We were on it a year ago. It is my favorite ship. Food court is busy but you can walk over to havannah bar and there plenty of tables to eat and since it is the back of the ship. No better place to eat than there looking at the ocean. Entertainment was great. Shows were wonderful. Not sure why some goes to cruse pay a lot of money and complain the whole time i stead of enjoying vacation.yes not everything will be 100% but what you make out of it that matter. I wish ship would come back to florida soon so i could hop on it again.

kseyjohn doesn't like young people. Sailing during Summer months brings many families with children. Maybe you should go on Cunard and pay 3 times as much... CHILL BROTHER!!!!!

Don't listen to kseyjohn....the Sunshine is a wonderful ship...been on it twice,recently May after the refurb..new carpet etc...she was lovely...going again Sept 3 out of NY....I don't think they k nm own what they're talking about...cabins are decent sized and larger than most ships...food and food choices were awesome...entertainment was really good...you all will love it !!!

Fortunately, I'm a seasoned cruiser. Otherwise I'd be deterred from cruising on this ship. I'm booked for Jan 13, 2017 and how dare you take away my anticipation of this cruise you asshole.
