So don't pick the late dinner when you know the shows are late. They had food choices from 24 hours room service, 24 hour pizza, dining room, and the several places on lido deck so saying there weren't any choices is a lie

We always made a show but we went to dinner around 6:15 most nights it took 2hours...way to long but our server was great...took food along time to come out from kitchen

That is true....i had a good time....but was frustrating not getting luggage till 830pm first night.....this was my 8th cruise never had that problem before....adult pool very small....standing room only...ran out of budweiser...some bars second day and atrium third day.....java ran out of root beer soda..and vanilla ice cream....i guess poor planning on ship....never again on sunshine...that was my third carnival ship

Elenagymcity, some of the restaurants do have odd hours to keep up with don't they? But that app helps. I loved the Pasta Bar because it's not something I normally eat. And the Blue Iguana Cantina too. We went on the Memorial Day 10 Day Eastern Caribbean Journeys cruise & I'm ready to try out the Ecstacy now that it's home port is Charleston SC. Lol

OMG!!!!! I just got off the Sunshine on Thursday and was so nervous about going from reading all the negative reviews!!! We had a fabulous time!!!! The bathrooms were never closed- we had no problems with dining and saw all the shows!!! The comedy show usually has 2/3 shows a night!!! The food was great, the specialty restaurants were great!!! Highly recommended JIJI restaurant!!

I always do Your Time dining & never had to worry. I heard several people saying they were some of the 1st to be seated & still missed all the shows. That is absolutely impossible. The bathrooms weren't dirty or ever closed on our 10 day cruise that left Memorial Day just a couple of months ago.

We always read the fun times and use highlighters for the things we want to do . Someone said you can google sunshine fun times and I found one. It was 2015 but it has different show times than the pride just had. Prides were 815 and 1030pm. Sunshine are something like 730 and 930. No wonder people with late dinner were missing shows. Definitely go to early show with late dinner and visa verse

Tayoung, I try to do all my reviews of the ports, ship and excursions soon after I get home while it's still fresh in my head. I really don't know that I have ever given a negative review.

All of new cruisers don't understand that the early show I'd for late seating dining and the later show is for early diners...I see people.commenting all of the time about missing shows unnecessarily...if you use your time dining, it takes a little extra planning to get to your shows.

Complainers will always complain and our motto is " it's what you make out of it" yes some ships have shown some wear and tear, and hiccups along the way but have always had a fantastic time! Can't beat the cruise!

That's good to hear. We actually are going on the sunshine for the first time aug 25 then again Jan 21. We try to cruise in early February and this itinerary caught our eye so we booked that cruise first then this great deal came our way and ended booking the sunshine for this aug 25. Then started hearing all the bad reviews and thought , have we made a huge mistake? Thought we'd try it.

We just got back and loved every minute of it. Did not find the ship dirty. We always made the shows we wanted to see. Already looking to book another cruise on the sunshine!

@Deniseg I believe more people post when they have something negative to say than when there is positive to say. I feel that is why there are so many bad reviews. When people come back happy they don't think it's as important to leave the review. I bet if everyone left a review there would be tons of positive.

What time are the dinner times on sunshine ? Was just on pride 2 weeks ago and the dinner times were 6 and 815. The shows were 815 and 1015. We were assigned to late dinner so it was impossible to catch the early show as it was the exact same time as dinner. Although we were able to hit the late show we also wanted to hit a comedy show at 915 so we just informed our wait staff and always made it.

I have been on the Sunshine twice. It took a little while to get used to layout but the good and fun things outweigh the bad. If you go to the buffet when it opens for meals there will be a line. Buffet food is not great, just filling. There are so many food options on this ship you can always find something you like. You don't like the Sunshine so try another ship or line. Good luck Be happy.😎

Always, have never had a bad cruise. Of course we all have our favorite but every ship and every port of call is different, not better or worse. I like the older ships as well the new ones. I like all ports of call for the new adventures they bring.

Some of these reviews worry me. I see a lot of negative reviews. We are sailing Sunshine next June. Our son and his fiancée will be getting married on that cruise.

Sunshine was wonderful. Spread the word. Had early dining and didn't miss a thing. All staff were very attentive to making sure we had a great cruise. Nobody in our group are complainers, it is what it is.

Been on 5 cruises with carnival. Sunshine was a bad ship. Stunk, food was slow in MDR, and a few other issues. I just think they should have retired this boat. But looking forward to my next cruise. Booked on the Breeze!

We had 815 seating for dinner and always went to the early show. Not once were we late for dinner. The shows were always done on time.
