Overall this was a good cruise based on what I paid. Carnival does a great job trying to find the balance among all of its passengers.

Definitely worth paying for Faster to the Fun!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room food was good -- some variety but also a lot of the same items. We ate at 2 of the specialty restaurants and they were fantastic! The buffet was so-so. But there was enough choice and selection to get something good.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Bingo was a fun family event (although expensive). The pools were pretty crowded and the pool in the adults-only was actually a hot tub (which is not refreshing on hot days). The trivia was a lot of fun, and the fitness center was nicely set up.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We didn't do any of the evening shows, but the music that we heard in other parts of the ship was good.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone we interacted with was very nice and friendly! Very welcoming, no matter how busy things were.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Overall everything looked good, but I was not happy when we got into our cabin and pushed our beds together (because they were supposed to be set up as a "king"), we uncovered a woman's outfit and used towel.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin had great storage and overall was what we needed. The beds were very comfortable!
Ship tip
Pre-pay your gratuities and the drink package is well worth it! Also be aware of the extra costs associated with fun things like bingo.
Absolutely beautiful place but very congested with passengers. We did rent 2 umbrellas and 4 chairs, and it was worth it (although you can definitely negotiate the price!).
While getting off the ship was pretty smooth, I would have liked to have known WELL IN ADVANCE that when you disembark, passengers will be split between those with passports and those with birth certificates. While it didn't matter getting on the ship, it was a huge pain getting out of the terminal because -- while it was quick and easy if you had your passport -- those with birth certificates had to wait in an incredibly long line. I did not appreciate 1) having to be separated from my kids for this process and 2) then having to wait outside in the heat until they could make it out (with no access to a bathroom -- and we had to wait well over an hour and a half).
