It was a nice short cruise with family. We always have a nice time on carnival even with our complaints.

Same as onboard activities in my mind.
I didn't go to any shows this time or to the night club. But the performers were very entertaining on deck for events and competitions. DJ was good as always on lido.

Ok, first and foremost, our cabin steward, Rika, was amazing. He kept our ice filled, gave us extra towels, and always stopped to chat about our vacation when he saw us. He's one of the best we've had.
We had an issue with dining. We were in a group of 15 and even had the same table on our sail and sign cards. However, they had our seating all messed up. My husband and I had to sit alone, and another couple was denied dinner there the 1st night. I've never heard of such a thing, but they assured us it would be fixed the next day. We never all got to sit together. Instead of us having an assigned table, they put us under any time dining so they wouldn't let us sit unless all 15 were there. It was crazy, we also got a charge on our acct for a drink which we never ordered. We told guest services and were given the "we'll look into it" sphiel, and of course, we didn't get a refund.
The other complaint was the casino drink package. My husband spends a ridiculous amount in the casino, so naturally, they offer the free drinks in the casino deal (among other things).
SEVERAL guests shared this complaint that the bar would not serve us. We had to be at a game to get the free drink. But after 4 hours of playing cards until you see a waiter? Then it took 30 - 40 min for them to bring the drink to you. Not acceptable. You should be able to get the drinks at the casino bar. They can see on your card how much you are playing and it's a reward for that anyway. My husband was ticked.

This was the first time I went without having a balcony. I'm not mad at it at all! The room was actually bigger.

Ship tip
Get up early to get a lounge chair! Now it's close to spring break so that may have been why... but it was almost impossible to find a place to lay.
I know Carnival is supposed to be enforcing the "can't hold chair" rule. But it was just packed on this short cruise.
This new process has worked nicely the past few cruises. We selected the time to go on the hub, then stayed in our room until time. (It was b4 the requested 8:30). We went straight to the elevators and off the ship.
If everyone follows instruction, this should help going forward.
