Not much to add. Great room, great food, great entertainment. We knew what to expect since this was our third sailing on the Sunrise. We took the Behind the Fun tour and it was amazing. A bit expensive and you can’t bring your phone or camera for obvious security reasons, but very glad we took it. Pretty impressive tech on the engine control room. And the panoramic view on the bridge was spectacular. You also get some goodies.

Food and Dining

Food was delicious. The only couple of blips were the potatoes for breakfast of our second day of the sailing. They looked seasoned but didn’t have much flavor. The second was broccoli and cheese soup on the buffet. It had good flavor, but the texture was off.

Quick service. Had 2 spicy tuna rolls and they were delicious.
Onboard Activities

We got involved in plenty of trivias, the host, “Mama Bee” was hilarious. Played some Bingo and saw Vintage Pop and The World Works Here. The Cruise Director for this sailing was Charlie Bates and she was funny and energetic.
Entertainment

The shows were really good. One of the male singers had a lower voice compared to the rest of the performers but other than that they were all very good.

Ship Quality

This was the last sailing before heading to dry dock. There were a few areas that looked like they needed some maintenance (rust) aesthetically but none were an issue that would impede us from enjoying the cruise.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was 5357. A bigger interior cabin for the same price as the standard interior. I highly recommend this cabin of you are cruising on a budget and want the extra space. The only design flaw is that the desk has an unusual layout because the hairdryer was on the opposite side of the vanity mirror. So you couldn’t see yourself as you used the hairdryer. Either bring a compact mirror or use your phone’s camera.
Ship tip
This ship was packed for this sailing. However for food, the lido only felt overwhelming during embarkation and debarkation. My advice, during embarkation, there’s more seating on deck 10 in Cucina and Guy’s Pig and Anchor. For debarkation, go to the MDR, less crowded.
We didn’t wander far off the port. Was our first time visiting since the newly remodeled pier debuted. Some of the prices were a bit higher than expected. A noticeable difference, much better experience.
We were in no hurry to get off the ship, since our flight was late in the afternoon. Unfortunately for us, because the ship was going to dry dock, the cleaning crew began boarding the ship as quickly as possible to head over to the dry dock, guests couldn’t stay longer than usual on the ship. Debarking started slow and then picked up a bit too quick which created long lines.
Nice review. I see the behind the fun tour is $130 pp now. I feel old, remember when those were free or they did a Q&A in the main entertainment lounge with the captain and supporting staff. Anything for a buck these days I guess since it’s a corporation 😂.
