Review summary

This was a bestie cruise. My friend had never gone on one before, so it was like seeing a cruise through new eyes. Overall, I had a great time. I actually did NOT stay awake for the New years bash. So I can't comment on that. I hear Lido deck was packed, though. I enjoyed hiding ducks and duck hunting. Choices of places to eat was plentiful. I loved the thermal suites that came with our spa room.

For such a busy place, the food was yummy, and the service was awesome. They really tried their best to keep the food stocked, I only had to wait once for oatmeal.

Sunshine Restaurant

For the most part, it was ok. I was disappointed that a few wait staff would just walk by and not by attention to us even when we asked for something. But I didn't let it ruin my time. The food was very good. My favorite was the corn soup.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que

We only ate here once, but it was because there were so many places to choose from. I loved the chicken and German potato salad.

We ate here on the day we got on the ship. It's free when you do that. Plus I noticed it was open in the day time on other days with no cost. The food was so delicious.

I really recommend doing this. It's so much easier then set dining times. Just make sure you request a table as you are walking to the restaurant.

I only had an issue one night in the Sunshine restaurant. That was the wait staff seeming to ignore our table, I know they were busy, but we were in the middle of an aisle. It didn't ruin my time in the restaurant, though. Thanks for Jhoni coming to our rescue. Our room steward, Joe, made sure we had everything we needed, plus things we asked for that were extra. I wish I could remember the name of one of the Dream Studio staff members. He was so much fun while doing pictures. Denise in the spa was very friendly

Ship Quality

I've sailed on this ship once before. It's not a hard layout to get used to. While it's an older ship and set to dry dock in a few weeks, it really was clean and well maintained. Staff was constantly cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

Make sure to ask for a blue blanket. They are free to use and so soft and warm. We had a spa inside cabin. I prefer inside, the room was a good size and we had no issues for the two of us. The bathroom was a normal size for a cruise ship

Enjoy yourself. Make the most of your cruise because everyone is different and like different things.

Nassau, Bahamas

This is definitely the port you want to shop for jewelry! Visit the Fish Fry and enjoy conch fritters.

Grand Turk Island

I loved the friendliness of the locals. It's a beautiful place to visit. However, it's more expensive than other ports of call as far as souvenirs go.

Disembarkation

Fast and easy with my passport. The only downside is my friend who went with me had a birth certificate, and we had to split up.

Really enjoyed the Fish Fry. Where we ate was very good and prices were very reasonable

We also took a carriage Ride around Nassau.

My first time eating at Texas De Brazil. There is alot of thing's you can do at this port should you choose to.

Ramsey1986 I hope you have a great time on the Sunrise. Another tip if you haven't already sailed on her is to Google her and find out about the layout and secret areas on the ship. Like decks forward that most ppl don't know that they can go to and its not crowded at all. Most times there is noone there. I believe there are 3 of those decks. Enjoy your cruise!!
