Review summary

There were too many passengers on this cruise. There was a long line for practically everything that I did. Most elevators were packed with people. There were hand sanitizers stationed around the ship which were mostly empty. 3 days in, my husband and I came down with Covid symptoms. We tested ourselves once we got home and found out that we along with others from our cruise had also contracted Covid. I am at home sick as I write this review! The Carnival Sunrise needs to be sanitized from top to bottom and better safety protocols employed.

Room appeared to be clean, however, I don’t know where and exactly how my husband and I contracted Covid.

We got Covid on our last cruise. It’s just something that is never going away. That will not stop us from cruising. Best of luck on future cruises. Thanks for sharing

Sorry to hear that hope you get better. The long lines is the reason my wife and I don't cruise smaller ships in the summer.

A cruise ship being full in the summer 😲 Imagine that! And you yourself marked "Large Group" for your party. I guess you thought your large group should have been the only passengers. 🤦🏾‍♀️ As for cleaning and safety protocols, people didn't want to follow them during the pandemic and you think your complaints on here will change that? 🤣 You must be delusional. Maybe stick to land based travel.

The Sunrise holds just under 3000 passengers, it's pretty tame compared to other ships, and you're a part of that crowd. Get well soon.

Thanks for the review. But you can't put the entire blame on Carnival for the elevator being full. Remember YOU are also among the ones using the full elevators. Sorry you got sick, again, that not the fault of Carnival. You could have gotten sick before you even got on the ship, or you could have gotten sick in Port. Get well soon

A lot if ships the people on guard have been getting COVID. Not just your ship. I’m sure they are keeping it as clean as they can. You can’t put them at fault. I’m sure people are walking around with Covid knowing full well they have if and not wearing a mask. Too many people out there who don’t care about others.
