Review summary

We knew that Carnival had the fun and party vibe, but didn't realize the ship would be noticeably not as nice as other ships (Princess). There needs to be more staff hired. We had a great time, but I won't be back on Carnival.

We literally just got let onto the boat with no one guiding us or telling us where to go next which was a very odd experience.

Food was not good, but we weren't there for that. I will say the late dining option was not what we anticipated. We waited over 2 hours for our dinner the first night, and the second night, we were only down to 1 server for our 14 seated table. We had upset guests and were sitting right next to the Maitre D who did nothing to help the situation. We ended up having to tell our server we didn't blame him and support him since his management didn't care. If you ahve a large group of people who are not happy with the service and you do nothing as management to help the situation or step in yourself, then I lose all respect. I feel horrible for our waiter.

Comedian was horrible and made a tasteless gay joke which upset my group. His jokes were all from the year 2,000. We left early without laughing much. Additionally, we loved going to the piano bar, but the musician wouldn't play anything he didn't know...which is kind of not the point of a piano bar!

On other cruises I have gotten to know waiter and steward but barely even knew who was who on this cruise. Employees are clearly over worked and there is not enough staff for the whole ship.

I was on the Sunrise last summer and we had a blast. We stayed at a hotel near the port and used Lyft to get us there.

I hope Carnival cruise line will hire more. As some standers have gone down since Covid. I do love sailing carnival or as it was. I hope as time moves forward they will get better

Thanks for taking the time, But we’re you the only one in the terminal at the time to get on the ship? Usually it follow the leader. As for the Piano Bar, how does someone play something they don’t know?
