Review summary

Carnival Sunrise is a great cruise ship with an excellent body of people who form the different crews that provide warm welcoming fun experience throughout the entire ship even during unforeseen times. I already am looking forwards towards my trip.

Embarkation

Reception, chech-in and embarkation were smooth and without complications.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Guys Burgers enough said. Overall, from breakfast to dinner (regardless of being the Lido buffet or the Sunrise restaurant) to late-night pizza with ice-cream, everything was delicious. Nothing but compliments to entire kitchen staff throughout the ship.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Riiiiiiico! My respect and recognition go out to Rico. The Morning Waking-call (early morning ship-wide information briefing ) and entertainment master of the cruise. A master of his craft and very warm and welcoming towards people. All entertainment activities I participated in were very entertaining and at it least they were fun. In no time I found myself without something to do. Even the outdoor movie theater was great fun experience to be had. Open air theater in or by the pool/jacuzzi. The comedian were solid.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My respect and gratitude goes out towards the entire ship crew who stepped up and kept us all entertained, kept the food and drinks flowing and the entire ship clean. Special recognition goes out towards Rudy who was our housekeeping steward on deck 1 even-number hallway muster station D. Not only did he kept our cabins fresh and clean but he was also very helpful and diligent. He always managed to put a smile on all of our faces.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I didn't come to appreciate the ship layout design till my last 2 days on the ship. As usual, it takes for one to get lost to truly find their way around. The ships decor is modern yet glamorous. Most amazing is how there isn't an area where people are being entertained, eating and/or drinking and yet the entire ship kept clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Everything about the cabin was great. I found it fresh and clean and Rudy made sure it stayed so. The bed was comfortable. Only 2 things stood out. 1: There was one night when the AC just wouldn't cool. I did not report it because I found a letter at the door recognizing this issue. Even thought I didn't get much sleep that night, I remedy the situation with late-night pizza in the middle of the sea. The maintenance crew had the AC fixed by the next day. 2: On arrival for some reason there were 2 latter in the room against the furthermost right-hand corner. I just set them down on the other side of the bed and didn't mind it for you never know when one might need a latter or two.

Ship tip

1: Guys Burger spot by the pool on deck 9. Excellent burgers, delicious dunky sauce but most impressive the breakfast burger. Burger for breakfast, why not ^_~ 2: There are elevatoes on the front and back of the ship. At times is best to just walk your hallway to either and use the elevator there to arrive to X deck you want to go.

Disembarkation

Even all the setbacks imposed by port authority due to Ian, disembarkation was very smooth. I just wish people had heed Riiicos notice over the speakers in regards to waiting for their group to be called.
