Review summary

Overall, it was a great cruise. Embarkation was a breeze and VeriFLY makes it fast and easy. We boarded the ship and were able to go to our room immediately since we booked a suite. We are a family of 5 and chose an ocean suite over booking 2 rooms. The cabin was bigger; however since they only clean rooms now once a day the couch and pull down bed stay made as beds the entire trip. The chair and table that would be in sitting area are then shoved against cabinets and closets and space gets really tight. Because of this, we never hung out in the room. The food on the cruise was good and the free options like Blue Iguana and Guys Burgers are the best. The MDR was a great experience thanks to our amazing servers. My one huge complaint is the buffet. Other than the desserts, it’s just bad. I must be spoiled from other cruise line buffets but Carnival needs to step up their buffet game on these older ships. The layout is horrible and the options very limited. I would probably care more if Carnival didn’t offer so many other great food options. Entertainment was enjoyable and there are tons of activities on the ship to keep you busy. Staff were amazing and really made our trip memorable. They went above and beyond and worked so hard. Will I sail Carnival again, yes in a month actually. Will I go on this class of ship again? No, I will not. It is all preference and I am just not a fan of the layout. It feels cramped in many of the spaces for the amount of people on the ship. The casino is the main thoroughfare inside to get from one end to the other unless you take stateroom hallways. I was on the sister ship Radiance a couple of months ago and this was me giving this class of ship another go and just not my favorite. Overall, great trip and many family memories made. More positives than negatives. PSA: make sure and constantly wash those hands and maybe when crowds are packed in small places on ship throw a mask on. We all tested positive 2 days after cruise. Not much emphasis on hand washing going on at the buffet like on other cruise lines.

Appreciate your feedback. Hope you are feeling better. Not my favorite class of ship either. Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise!
