Review summary

Completely disappointed. Will have to consider other cruise lines in the future that are more family oriented. Sad as this was our first vacation since COVID and felt we should have done another staycation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Clifford was excellent however the fact that we had to scan a menu every night and wifi never worked and then they want you to order all at once so they have less trips to the kitchen does not make for a relaxing dining experience. For the money spent for the dining you would expect a fine dining experience. The dining atmosphere at Outback is better which does not say much. You can't request elegant night and be rushed in and out like your at a buffet. Needs work!!!

I think the music needs to be taken down a notch. You are on a family cruise with children. I get that you want to push alcohol for the money to be made however we were not expecting a booze cruise. The music had profanity in it. It was loud obnoxious and the director hosting it was edging the drunken crowd on. Several times we had to move from the pool to keep our children from seeing unacceptable behavior. Could have been avoided if carnival crew was not pushing it. It was not tropical or carribean which is what you would expect as we have been on many. It was as if you were in an r rated disco. Very disappointing. The show we saw with the singers was good; however for what we paid would have liked to enjoy the outside more than we were able to because of issues brought on by Carnival crew

Children's Programs

She did enjoy the crafts however again her after school program offered much more for a fraction of the cost.

Service and Staff

Waiter was good Clifford, Elma was outstanding. If it were not for the two of them if we could have flown back from the Bahama's we would have.

Ship Quality

good

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
clean a little tight however the room was never the problem

Ship tip

Expect long lines, no wifi, don't look for a quiet enjoyable dining experience in the main dining room, and be ready to be back at college as that was the atmosphere on this one. May not be the cruise. Maybe it is because out of miami not sure however disappointed

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

From the time you get off the boat you are harassed to make purchases. Should just skip Nassau all together.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Never got to experience due to weather and port fees is all that was returned. It was nice to get the fees back however disappointing

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Disappointing as it is a man made beach. Thought the beaches from pictures I have seen in the past would have been prettier. This again is all about the booze and the director who hosted though I am sure she is nice should be working a night club not a family cruise.

Disembarkation

Best part as we took care of our own luggage. Got off in a jiff and went on our way

I feel like cost was more your issue though I do agree with sometimes adults need to take it down a notch when children are present.

What did you pay for the cruise? It is selling for $71 per day. That is for the room, transportation, all meals, snacks, and entertainment? You paid far less for your dinner than you would have paid at Outback. Yes I don't care for some of the poolside shows either, so I would take my kids to the children's pool area. Problem solved.

Try Disney or atleast do research before you book a vacation!

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. You are probably correct in looking at other cruise lines. Hope you find what you are needing. Appreciate your feedback.
