Review summary
Overall, our B2B 10 days on the Sunrise was ok. We love cruising but we wouldn't cruise on her again. I'm really not sure why we disliked this ship so much, but the vibe wasn't there. The crew, waitstaff, and the entertainment were good. Bingo was awesome! The cruise director Felipe is very funny and engaging. Will, who was our bingo guy, was also great. Overall, I would rate the cruise a 7.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que
Not a fan. Knowing good BBQ from the New England area, this was not up to par.
Cherry on Top
If you need a chocolate or sugar fix, this is the place to go!
Limelight Lounge
Spacious, but seemed like it was in a dungeon.
JavaBlue Cafe
The BEST choices of drink, with a shot of Irish Whiskey! The desserts there were amazing. Try the Chocolate Fudge cake!
Guy's Burger Joint
Guys was very good, but not open enough. We love the burgers, and now the breakfast burgers!
Onboard Activities
Serenity Adult Only Retreat
The set-up was really strange. It's a double level of seating. The first level has the bar, but the view is so-so. There are plenty of actual beds & clamshells of course. The top level was right NEXT to the Waterworks slide entrance. There weren't many kids onboard at all, but if there were, Serenity wouldn't be serene.
Sunrise Casino
The casino is always great! The layout is good, the tables were paying out! Even though one side of the casino was for smokers, it felt like the entire place was filled with smoke. I think the ventilation needs fixing.
Jogging Track
It was good to have a place to walk early morning, watching the sunrise.
Aft Pool
Excellent area to eat. Less crowded and you can drink & eat Pizza
Entertainment
Main Show Lounge
Very roomy, good views from anywhere. Bingo was awesome!

Ship tip
If you decide to eat on Lido, get there 10 minutes before they open. Food is obviously more fresh and there's no line. Bring your own Yeti cup or similar for coffee or drinks. Don't eat in the Lido dining area. Get your food and walk to the back of the ship where the pizza area is. There are NO crowds there ever. Bring your own toppings for the ice cream. It made a huge difference for me. Order water for your room in advance. If you want to order additional food in the MDR (appetizer or even entree) do it! They have no problem with it.
