As much as I love Carnival, I did not love this ship. The food in the main dining room was a disappointment at best but the other restaurants on the ship were fantastic. The ship was a bid small for my taste. No sales in the lobby, shops were very small. The spa was exceptional and would recommend to all. Overall, we had a great time but will avoid this particular ship in the future.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was smooth & easier than pre-pandemic. I hope they keep the embarkation appointments moving forward.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The ship's may dining room was a disappointment at best. After two bad meals we stuck with the buffet. The buffet wasn't bad but wasn't great either. On a positive note, the deli, taco shop, pizza shop & Guy's Burger joint were excellent as usual and included in your cruise fare. The steakhouse was by far our best meal and will definitely be booking a reservation on our next Carnival Cruise.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We enjoyed the waterslide and hot tubs but were a bit underwhelmed with the selection of onboard activities. This is a small ship with limited space so many things we are used to on other ships weren't available (White Party, Deck parties, compititions & dancing on the lido deck).
Entertainment
We did not see any shows for ourselves
Children's Programs
Did not travel with children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As per usual, the service was outstanding! Our room steward, Aris, was fantastic! Cherry at the casino bar took excellent care of us! Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was sparkling clean and the crew was always busy maintaining & cleaning throughout our trip.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. There was ample storage and decent sized bathroom. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable.
Ship tip
Our sailing was about half capacity. If this ship was booked I don't think I would have enjoyed myself.
This is my happy place! I look forward to coming back. We rented a cabana for the day. Believe me, it is worth it! The sand is like powder and the water is as clear and beautiful as it gets! Love it here! My only complaint is that your drink package does not carry over to the private island & and drinks get pretty pricey.
I would definitely recommend booking an excursion for Nassau. I have been here on multiple cruises and there is basically just shopping within walking distance from the port. You will also be offered drugs multiple times as you stroll along. There are many beautiful places to see in Nassau but some may feel more comfortable with an organized excursion.
This was a beautiful port. We just took the tram to the furthest beach and enjoyed the warm blue water. My husband snorkeled while I floated. Pure bliss!
I agree about the main dining room, food was hit or miss. That said, the crew was great and so grateful to be working again. Not my favorite ship but I'd sail it again in a heartbeat!
