It was a rough cruise. Quite a few people commented on the movement of the ship. There were a lot of college spring breakers onboard as well. We didn't realize college spring break started so early. We went in March. We missed Amber Cove due to the weather not letting us port. Once we got close to Nassau the water was smooth. I would go on Sunrise again.

Embarkation was fast and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Drinks were excellent. Food was good in the dining room. Appetizer portions were tiny but you can order as many as you want. Seaday brunch was great. Breakfast in the buffet was ok. I wasn't impressed. Blue Iguana breakfast burritos were great.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Shows were great. Pools and hot tubs were packed. Serenity area was small. Hard to find a spot to relax. Lido chairs were always taken by chair hogs.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Shows were great. The performers were excellent. Love and Marriage show was hilarious. The comedians in the Limelight Lounge were funny.
Children's Programs
We didn't travel with kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff in the dining room were excellent. They always remember your name. We had early dining so we had the same waiters every night. Our waiters Jati and Viorel were great. Viorel was always keeping us entertained and laughing.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ships layout was a little weird. You couldn't go from front to back on most decks. The dining room decor seemed weird for a new remodel. The seating in the Liquid Lounge was nice. It had a place for your drink no matter where you sat. The Pixel photo gallery wasn't digital. You would think with a $200 million dollar remodel that would be part of it. You had to go searching through the walls to find your photos. Limelight Lounge wasn't easy to get to. You have to go to the right of the casino bar and down the stairs to get there. It's a little awkward to get there.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was very comfortable and clean.
Ship tip
The Limelight Lounge is a little tricky to get find. You have to go through the casino and down the stairs to get there.
As soon as you get off the boat, people are in your face trying sell you stuff. They are very pushy. Nassau beaches were pretty. The people trying to sell you stuff are on every beach. If you tell them no they usually leave you alone.
Well after 64 cruises with carnival , we have the routine down pretty good . From March 8 when many colleges start spring break , to April vacations for most all students then May graduations then all schools out in June . The best time for cruising is end of August until May . Then you have to. Mix with students most times. And when school is out the rates Are sky high . same goes with airlines .
