I really dont know if I would book another carnival cruise there were so many turn offs and very little positive.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Some of the places to eat were only open for breakfast and lunch so we didnt get to experience them unfortunately.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pools were nice. There was mini golf and an adventure zone which looked cool
Entertainment
2 out of 5
I felt they could have used a little more entertainment. We often found ourselves board and found other passengers board as well.
Children's Programs
I don't have kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The thing that bothered me was there was washing stations for your hands but no one used them and the purel stations were also never used.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin I felt was a good size. I liked the extended balcony except for the fact it was always wet. I felt that the bathroom was also a good size as well.
We went to the lighthouse resort. We had to wait a very long time for the date to he released to get out pass but if you are last minute and dont know what to do if you go to this resort you can just get a pass when you enter the building no problem. I would 100% do that day pass again!
This was a cute island the only thing that bothered me was that they said we would have wifi but only princess cruise line gets wifi. There however was plenty to do on the island we had a beach party and had a buffet lunch which was good.
They made us grab numbers for our disembarkation times but in the end we found out it didnt matter when we got off the boat. We basically were being pushed off the boat.
You list so many negatives, which I do agree with by the way, but your total score for the cruise was 4.1 out of 5. With respect, I do not think Carnival takes our concerns and comments seriously when they still get a good score. That is only my opinion.
Sorry it wasn’t what you expected. I have always said a cruise is what you make it. Also was surprised when you said there were washing stations but no one ever used them. I’m taking that you meant going into the buffet, every ship I’ve been on they make you go in and wash your hands but do it in a very fun way. I hope you try another cruise.
Interesting that you said there were a lot of turnoffs, but you rated it 4 stars overall. You mentioned it was a basic cruise, which is what to expect with a mainstream cruise line such as Carnival. If you are looking for something more upscale, try Crystal, Symphony, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas or Viking.
Sorry you didn't enjoy your Cruise and found yourself bored. You said the mini golf and adventure zone looked cool. Instead of being bored why didn't you try them? Don't judge an entire line or even a ship on one experience. The crew is always changing.
