This was the worst ship with so many problems from toilets not flushing and over flowing to elevators constantly breaking down, to sewage smells and flooding state rooms. Tv never worked, they knew nothing about my special.... even though I called ahead

Review summary

Toilets didn't flush and overflowed, several were out of order throughout cruise, elevators were constantly breaking down, smelled sewage several times, tv didn't work, casino machines kept messing up, smelled methane from trash, didn't adhere to my special diet, buffet food wasn't very good and inconsistent.... potato salad was on budget several days but tasted different each time, the taste got worse each time, comedy club was very hot......

Clean but very small, not soya products in room never recieved them. Asked 3 times for robe, toilet didn't flush on numerous occasions, water leaked on bathroom floor from bottom of toilet, tv didn't work, no drawers for clothes.....

Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m booked on Sunrise departing in November 2019. I booked this particular ship thinking the huge renovation would be worthwhile. I’m nervous now!! I’m hoping everything gets worked out by then.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about this ship. I am traveling on May 27 for 14 days. I too hope that these issues are resolved. My real worry is that my best friends will be traveling with us on their very first cruise. I hope these issues are worked out. Otherwise, I guess they will never travel again with us. I have praised Carnival to them for so long. They will think I am crazy for everything positive I have said about Carnival and cruising. Keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks for sharing your honest experience. So sorry you had a bad one. Our first ever cruise will be on her in late September. I am so excited. I am going to stay positive even though this review was not. Let's hope these things will be fixed soon so everyone who sails her has a good experience. Again so sorry this happened to you

We are on the 14 night also 5/27 hopefully they will be squared away by then 1st couple of trips after refurbished are alway work in progress.

For those of you saying she’s a complainer we were on that cruise as well and everything she said is true. The reason it was so shocking is because they made such a big deal about the renovation. Not sure if I can post pics or not but if I can I will post some. The elevators were hit and miss. I have a bad back and was forced to take the steps most of the time for fear of getting stuck in elevator. Several second rooms flooded with sewage and got all over their luggage etc. Now if you are the type of person that enjoys this cruise then go for it but don’t criticize the people that were on it and are trying to warn you. This was my 9th Carnival cruise and I have never complained. This ship was NOT ready to sail yet. I hope that everyone who is being so hateful gets in one of the rooms that floods with sewage or gets stuck in a elevator then you can see what it was like.

Thank you for your honest review. They need to be made aware of these problems so they can correct them. We’re booked for this ship Nov 30, so I’m hoping everything will be fixed by then. I know new ships sometimes have problems, but after being in dry dock, this is a little concerning of just HOW MANY problems there are.

Yes..sadly this is a real review. I asked for our robes and one was slashed. All that money and they couldn't even replace them with new ones. We always had a smell as well but no overflowing. Yes, too many issues. And the hot tub put in the serenity area is a joke. The depth of a kiddie pool.

Buffet food is never for those on a special diet. It's up to you to decide what to eat. The dining room is able to accommodate most people with their dietary needs, all you have to do is ask

I guess some commenters think toilet and sewage issues and poor A/C are kinda normal for a carnival cruise and nothing to whine about. I disagree. Defiantly something to complain about if it happened.
