We saw a pod of what we estimated to be 25 to 50 whales” from the blow spouts” from our balcony on our first sea day. We will do this again but will go for earlier in the season.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
VeriFLY made embarkation so easy. Each area we went through was well staffed and fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We visited the MDR one, very good food. Buffet is a buffet good not great, but buffet food is never great. Pizza pirate is the best, from the crust to the toppings, they had extras made so you didn’t always have to stand in line waiting. As they brought out the extras they offered them out. Otherwise you might wait a small time on your pizza. And Guys Burger oh so very good always my first meal

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We watch many activities, the music on board was amazing. A trio of violinists great! PWR of two group, wow can she sing. 2 good comedy shows, Epic Rock, third time this year, still good. 80 pop to the max, very good. Fitness center “I heard there was one” I am on Vacation

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was like before, the bed was not quite as comfortable as the past. But it was always clean. Our neighbors were the most rude we have been around. There idea of closing a door consists of letting it slam shut, anytime of day. And talking loudly in the hall.

Ship tip

Have VariFly completed. It makes embarkation so fast.

Ports of call

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

We did the Fjord Excursion, wow!!! So very cool to see up close.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
No excursion but we did enjoy the town.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Disembarking was a little slow, they finally dragged me off the ship kicking and screaming. We didn’t want to leave.

Glad you enjoyed it. Icy Strait Point is best for whale watching or bear excursions, the aerial tram & zip line, hiking or just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. May and early June are excellent times to go for better weather and more inventory in the shops.
