Review summary

First time on Carnival and I think what I enjoyed the most were people I met. Very, friendly people, the staff and the other guest. Sometimes, things were disorganized. Having to wait in line after line it seemed. The food could have been better. I was told that it was better before they switched to American Table. Maybe they should change back to what they had before. This particular ship didn't have as much activities to offer as the others. The decor wasn't that bad. Yes, people complain that's pink but not that noticeable.

Embarkation

You went from one long line to another. It seemed very disorganized. Never waited that long to get on a ship. I probably will not sail out of Ft. Lauderdale again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room food was fairly good. They over cooked the meat. So you had to ask for the meat to be cooked a less than you actually wanted it cooked. But, most of the food was pretty good. The buffet was okay, for what it is. The BBQ was terrible. The pizza was okay.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I got a massage and it was great. The only thing, is the activities are always tied to them trying to sell you something. But, that's probably the way it is with all the cruise lines. The fitness center looked nice. Didn't use thought. Didn't get in the pools.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedy shows were good. The other shows were hit or miss. The DJ didn't play a variety of music which caused the dance club to be dead. When you requested a song he never played it. Lyndon in the piano bar was great. I had the best time there that I hung out there most nights.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The waiters were good and nice. There was a couple of times the service was slow. Once during brunch and one during dinner. Room steward was super nice but I felt like he did a minimal job. But, I know they have a lot of rooms to clean. Maybe they need to hire more staff.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The common areas were kept clean. The only thing is I wished they didn't allow smoking in the casino.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The bed/couch wasn't very comfortable.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

I only drove to get on the ship

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Not much to do there. It was a relaxing day on the beach.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

3 out of 5
When horseback riding and Dunn's Falls. Had a good time. Booked excursion on my own. They company I booked through was good. The people there are little pushy trying to sell stuff.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Didn't do an excursion. Went snorkeling at Devils grotto and the other spot in the same area. Walked around and felt safe.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Been there several times. This time we went to Mr. Sancho's. All inclusive resort . (Kinda) There are things you have to pay extra to do. Plus, they come around to sell you stuff. The drinks and food was included but the drinks were water down. Coming from a lightweight it was a joke. Food was okay to good.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No problems at all. But, I did carry all my luggage off.
