Review summary

I Won't be back. Too much smoking, too many kids, and the buffet servers were way to rude and mean. Too many kids, the smoking on the boat was gross and made it hard to enjoy most of the activities. the buffet servers are rude, and the customer service at the excursion desk was great. The buffet servers made you really want to cuss them out but I held my peace because I'm a minister and had to maintain myself as a child of GOD but because of the servers, I will not go on another Carnival Splendor cruise, not ever and I mean that.

The buffet servers were very mean. They always seemed to be agitated and slamming food on my plate. Very unpleasant so I stayed away as much as possible. It was almost as if they were pretending to be happy but really couldn't maintain the pretending. Horrible. The specialty Restaurant Black pearl was awesome. Arnawa, I Made, Bonnie, Stephan, Ketut, were so great and a pleasure to be around. They were the highlight of the whole trip. I looked forward to dinner every night and was not disappointed not one time. Every night was spectacular and extremely accommodating and pleasant. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to pay for drinks which I don't think that was fair because we couldn't go on one island and we paid too much money for that cruise to pay for drinks at dinner. That was not cool.

The layout was cute the designs was hideous. Yes the common areas were fairly clean and well maintained.

Room was cleaned every day with grace, the only thing was the toilet, it was very dirty inside with a nasty black ring around the water inside the toilet. That was gross but other than that it was perfect.

Seriously people whoever u r please consider your words not everything will be in everyone favor consider the fact oh my yes things just might not be right stop judging things go on a cruise for a week & enjoy yourself not everyone can afford 2,000 adventure not everything is perfect in life consider that

This will be my 1st time on Carnival and I read there there are smoking areas outside, some smoking in the casino and smoking in the night Club...does that sound correct to those that have cruised this ship before? If so I will avoid those areas as opposed to complaining about them

I allso noticed that there was a complaint about having to pay for drinks. Did you really think they were free.? Think again, where is the mony made.? That is at the bars and the Casino, there is free water, Tea and Coffee for Breakfast lunch and Dinner, there is a option to by a drinks package. Free drinks, Oh my Lord, what gave You that idea.? The Guy upstairs.?

Whooa!!! I was on this same cruise and I am questioning your statement on too many kids. This is cruise was during the school year and there was very few kids on this ship and the kids I did see had good manners, held doors and a couple of times held the elevator. The only area I noticed smoking was in the casino and I avoided it by using the upper deck. My first question is why would a man of the cloth want to cuss out anyone? By the way, I didn't have any problem with the Lido Deck servers and I know, I'm gonna get what I give. You should know that being a man of the cloth.

Then it is the same with smoking rules as on European ships, and easy to avoid.

Smoking is not allowed inside the ships and they have designated smoking areas. For those who cannot tolerate any smoke, it is important for them to know where these areas are and avoid them. That’s the best way to avoid the smoke. As far as children, that’s the nature of Carnival. It caters to families and the party crowd. There are other lines like HAL and Princess that may have been more to this cruisers liking. As far as the buffet, I’m surprised you didn’t go to the main dining room once you decided the buffet service was not to your liking. There are a lot more options for dining than the buffet. Oh well, perhaps cruising is not your thing. 😎

Did not know that smoking inside in ships are still allowed in the US, in Europe you can only do it outside or in a smoking room if there is one, or maybe in the Disco. No longer allowed in the Casino.
