Review summary

Had an absolute blast on this, my first cruising experience. Was nice to be able to break away from everyday life and just take in the sights. Already booked my next cruise, and hope to hit some of the ports originally scheduled.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Arrived on time (1-1:30), and was greeted with long lines for the check-in process. Apparently terminal 4 at Port Everglades is relatively new for Carnival. Took approximately one hour to get through the check-in process before being cleared to board the boat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Delicious food and dining options. Great views from the Gold Pearl if seated at the early dining. Very friendly wait staff.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots of pool-time fun. Plenty of things to do to keep me entertained.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Thoroughly enjoyed all of the rock n roll shows. Saw 4 shows onboard including 80s Pop to the Max, 88 Keys, and my favorite: Epic Rock. Also enjoyed the comedy club (the Moroccan lounge) several times.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and super helpful whenever I had a question. Was a great 1st cruising experience, and already booked my next trip. Big shout out to MarQ, the cruise director!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was full of visual textiles, almost too much. Felt very outdated when reflecting on the decor. Everything was very clean and wonderfully maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room, while small, had everything I needed. A very good experience with all of the necessities I was looking for. The balcony was a wonderful place to unwind and relax and take in the sights of the ports and sea.

Ship tip

Be prepared to see lots of zebra printed pink polka dots all over the park. It can come as a shock at first, but after a while, you'll stop noticing it as much.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fairly relaxed when getting off. Early call times, but didn't feel overly rushed.
