Review summary

Fun cruise - other than the weather which wasn't Carnivals fault. Loved the deco decor. Rooms bigger than expected for 3 adults on lower level. Lots of food selection. Definitely a cruise for a younger family - lots of screaming running kids. Lots of room inside ship to read a book or lounge. Pools & hot tub close way too early!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We were seated at a table with older non-English speaking folks - made the entire week of dining VERY uncomfortable as we had to smile & make basic hand movements to communicate. They were very nice but unable to communicate. Cruise needs to seat people according to age & ethnic background unless otherwise stated give us an open seating option which we learned about on the LAST day of the cruise. Great selection of food which was good but overall extremely BLAND! Service fast. Dining servers VERY professional and friendly. Breakfast & lunch buffets were convenient & had big variety - very bland though. Food was always available somewhere.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
NOT ENOUGH VARIETY - for those who have cruised before, its the same old thing needs new entertainment ideas. Needs more things to do when sailing like the 'last man standing' contest. Comedians only fair. Night shows were very good but male dancers NEED rehearsal!!! Female singer amazing, as well as, the band, costumes & set decor. Dance club great - but needs earlier hrs for adults who don't want to stay up till midnight. Poker table fun but needs to be promoted as many did not know where the table was and did not understand how to play the electronic poker game. Slots were VERY tight!!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Cruise director really worked hard to make entertainment fun. Dining and room staff did an excellent job. Dining staff always remembered my special dining requests without having to be reminded. Rest of ship staff were not overly friendly nor did they smile very often but did their jobs.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Lots of room to relax. Easy to get around once you learn where things are. Fitness center great but some of the machines were not working. Spa area amazing - very serene! Overall was a clean ship. Food areas always busy but lots of areas to sit. Adult only deck w/ pool & hot tubs - thank you!! Sports areas needs re-vamping - too small!! Need a better selection of games in game room for sailing days especially with bad weather. Pools & hot tub close way too early!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had oceanview room and it was roomy for 3 adults with lots of drawers & closet space. Room stewards kept beds made & bathrooms clean. Always hot water. Curtains kept the room very dark for sleeping/napping - great! Felt my personal belongings were safe even with staff walking in and out. Usually very quiet - however, room stewards did wake us up early cleaning the rooms next door. Laundry rooms on the floor need to be service maintained as the irons only worked on one floor not fun for formal evening when everyone needed to iron formal attire.

Pros: Lots of People But Lots of Room........

Cons: Entertainment
