Review summary

The color pink was everywhere; and the ship had no sense of direction; you couldnt walk around it like Royal carribbean's ships... VERY CONFUSING. Was not impressed with the cruise director; TOO FAKE!! We walked up to say hi during the captain's meet and greet and felt snubbed!!! Food was not TERRIFIC but average; although DESSERTS WERE PHENOMENAL esp the MELTING CHOCOLATE CAKE!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food in dining room so so; buffet food was the same over and over with occasional differences; CHOCOLATE FONDUE WAS NOT SELF SERVE AND FOOD WAS HARD TO ASK FOR AND WAIT IN LINES FOR EVER!!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Shows were average; singers needed more va va voom; dancers were off a few steps but trying hard.. Cruise director Todd was so so.... ALthough we liked JD from "CASH CAB ON BOARD" HE HAS ALOT OF CHARISMA!!! THOUGHT THE ASST CRUISE DIRECTOR SHOULD BE THE CRUISE DIRECTOR!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our steward "GALO" was very friendly and caring; he made us feel welcome over and over again. The towel animals were a favorite and our room was cleaned twice a day!!!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
VERY CONFUSING TO FIND PLACES: EVEN AFTER A FEW DAYS!! DIDNT LIKE THE PINK AND LEOPARD COLORS EVERYWHERE!!! DIFFERENT COLORS FORWARD AND AFT WOULD HAVE HELPED ALOT!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
CLEAN AND NEAT: SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING!!! GREAT TO BE ON THE PORT SIDE!!

Pros: stewards were so attentive and friendly

Cons: Ship was easy to get lost in; wine list on board terrible!!

Recommends Carnival Splendor? Yes!
