This was the worst cruise experience I have ever had. Been in different cruises but this was the worst by far. Cheap food, long lines, wrong information and rood personal besides Alex and his team in the restaurant. They were amazing. Also the house keeper was very nice. MSC is way more modern and clean. All toddler rules were ridiculous. He couldn’t get to do anything nor we because we had to try to entertain our toddler ourselves. No indoor out door 5 years under play area and not allowed in the pool. Splash park was also closed when ever we go. I would never ever again book with Carnival again or recommend. My friends are planing to go next month and I advised them to go with Royal C.instead and explained them our experience. We booked initially balcony room for my parents and ocean view for us. My parents had to cancel theirs in last minute of coutures they hold almost all the money but top of that we were treated poorly because we stayed in the first floor even though we end up paying more than anyone else. They didn’t allow us to use elevators when we were carrying our luggages and toddler with stroller. Provided lower level poorer restaurant option and had to debark last. Over all experience was horrible with this cruise.

Food and Dining

Food extremely cheap and not enough. Everyone always in line. No variety. Everyday alarmist the same food. They defiantly didn’t think people who can’t eat pork. Mornings always ham pork sausages agin all other cheap pork products.Food taste very poor. In the restaurant the only thing tasted something was the steak. Even deserts don’t have any taste.

Toddlers not allowed in the water with even water diaper. If I knew my toddler can’t do anything I would never book it. Imagine stuck with a toddler in a ship can’t do anything. Kids club doesn’t also allow kids under 5. Already tested twice for covid and they act like they need to be punished because they can’t have vaccine. There is no play area for toddlers outdoor or indoor. Horrible experience. My 10 years old and us couldn’t do much because our toddler couldn’t do anything. He would cry if his sister gets in the water but he can’t. What a family trip. They act like our kids under 5 years is a pain for them. Also the high chairs for them in restaurant always dirty.
Entertainment

Always old music or hip hop. Very poor music selection.

Horrible!! My toddler was not accepted anywhere. We were stuck in ship a toddler can’t play with anything or not accepted any kids club. Other cruises I been at least had our door play area. This one had nothing. My 10 years old was also bored in her kids club. Didn’t want to go after couple of times.
Service and Staff

The Only people were great our house keeping associate who clean our room and brought cute towels to us. He was very nice every time we see him also our waiter in Empire restaurant. Alex from Peru and his team. You can tell how different he was then others. He took our names and showed extra care to our toddler. He was very professional. They all served very fast one course after another and always provided alternatives if we didn’t like something. I give 5 star to only Alex and his team . The other servers were not good. Also as soon as we entered the cruise there were other ship personnel standing by the elevators. They told us we can not use elevators since they were carrying luggages and we need to go to stairs when we were trying to carry our luggages and my toddler was in his stroller. I asked what if I would be a handicap then they told us we can use elevator. After that he called the elevator for us but my husband was very frustrated and carried everything one by one down stairs himself. It was the worst experience right in the beginning. I would never book this cruise ever again.

We found someone else’s bathing suit bottom under our bed. Our beds were nice everyday but over all ship and room feels really dust and dirty. I never felt the same way in MSC cruises. Their are very luxury, clean and modern. I was afraid anyone was going to step to carpet in our room as it looked nasty.
Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was comfortable. Kids beds were horrible. Room size ok for a cruise but definitely not clean enough. It is not the house keepers fault this cabins need deep cleaning and update. We found other people under wear and bathing suit bottom and earrings in our room. Carper seemed disgusting. I was afraid my kids to walk bare foot on the floor. Bathrooms and everything needs an update compare to other cruises I been in.
The front desk person told us we had to buy excursion if we want to go to Nassau because our toddler was not vaccinated. Wrong info!! Next day I read on the paper they provided under 11 years old don’t have to have excursions and can be companied by their vaccinated parents. We dis already book our hotel at Margarittaville which we had do cancel. We went and spoke to supervisor Kay and she was nice to refund our fee back to us. Blue Lagoon island excursion was nice but too short. We were back at 1:00pm and had to lunch so early. We were there so early and weather was so cold and windy. We didn’t want to get in the water. When we were leaving it was nice and sunny so we couldn’t get to enjoy anything.
This was the best experience after all. Great beach, sea and staff. Food was great. You can tell it was not the same person who prepared the food in the ship. The only bad part food was full off flies. We couldn’t get to try desert as it was covered with flies. We love kids play area and pool. At least my toddler finally get to do something. This place was like heaven on Earth.
They were not clear enough with luggage number order. They made us wait a very long time. There we’re still lines to come out. Lines never ended as soon as you come.
Honestly it sounds like you purposely went to find problems/complain… perhaps you should just not cruise. My friends and I were on the Spirit last week and despite the port of Jacksonville being unorganized, it was a wonderful time with no complaints.
Thanks for the review. It definitely sounds like cruising and probably travel is not for you. Most people love it, but some people just need to stay home.
