Review summary

Be nice to have someone inform 1st time cruisers with information about what's going on on the ship and what is included in the price you paid and what's not included. We didnt know what we had to pay extra for so we really didnt do anything because we was afraid we would have to pay extra.

People turned it into a sports bar gathering around the tv and yelling. So we took our food back to our room.

I recommend watching YouTube videos on the cruise line and ship you plan to sail on. Tons of information is available to those who seek it.

I can't remember about Carnival but on Royal they put a $ next to anything in the cruise planner that is extra.

If you are spending all that money to go on a cruise when not spend the time to research where you are going and doing. But the good need is now you know what to expect for your second time.

Most activities on the ship are included in the price. Sorry to hear you missed out on some things because you didn't know. Hopefully you will do more research and have more information about this on your next cruise so that you can participate in more activities. Happy cruising!

Lots of information online that would have answered most of the questions before you left - what is / isn’t included. Just a little research beforehand makes a big difference.

Carnival created this link to allow you to keep track of your ships' location and if available you'll be able to check out it's web cam: ships.carnivalentertainment.com YouTube is a good source of information for your ship.

I can agree with this, our first Cruise in 2010 we even went through a travel agent that was a seasoned Cruiser. Plus we didn't know where to go to look about Cruising. Obviously now the internet and even Youtube are great places to go. Now we know what we like in a ship, which restaurants, amenities, Sea side theater.

Whether land or sea vacationing, I always research ahead of time. There are so many great resources online such as this app and other cruise forums. Google key words such as "(name of cruiseline and ship) reviews", "what's included in my (Carnival) cruise", "cruise forums", etc. Ask questions...the cruiseline or travel agent, if you used one, are happy to answer all of your questions. It's their job. Hope you had an enjoyable time! You now know more for the next time.

If you cruise again, you can get all your questions answered by reading the ships info log on-line. Every cruise line has one and are different. You can also call the Cruise line directly if you cannot find the answer you're looking for as they are eager to help. I do as much research on a cruise that I'm interested in before I book reservations so I know what to expect. Happy sailing.
