Embarkation

I had the “faster-to-the-fun” pass and it was a smooth transition to get onboard but unfortunately our luggage was not on-board by the time frame we were told. We were 1st in line, and if I would have just showed up for my embarkation time (as I did), I didn’t even need to pay the extra $59 as our adult children didn’t pay and were onboard when we were!!

Carnival Sensation is an older and smaller ship and we’ve cruised on larger, newer cruise liners with more activities and this ship did not live up to our expectations!!

The shows were ok but did not have a variety! It was a show then comedy time. Nothing else!!

Carnival Sensation is a smaller, older ship and was in bad condition. We had. Balcony room and was apprehensive about sitting out on the balcony while the ship was moving.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin #263 was the very last cabin on our floor at the back of the ship!! It was the standard size and comfort was what we’d come to expect with a cruise liner. I would not have chosen a room at the very back of the ship but it free from noise and traffic.
Ship tip
If you’ve cruise before, this may not be a ship you’ll enjoy unless you don’t expect to do much. For newcomers to cruising, you may enjoy it because you have nothing to compare it to!!
The staff at the port was not enthusiastic as I’m use to and they did not know their jobs. One person would give info and another would come and say something different then along come another person with yet a different answer!,,
Our second time at Grand Turks and we had a blast as usual! Margaritaville always have fantastic atmosphere with great food and music! The coral is no joke but with your beach shoes on, once you make it about ten meters from the shore, the water is spectacular!
