Review summary

If you can choose a different ship, go that route! This ship was great 5 years ago but now is in need of a huge upgrade on both ship and tired staff.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The selection of food was sub par at best. The only items worth eating were the hamburgers at Guy's Burger Joint but that always seemed to be closed when the people in the ship needed it most. Late night did option was "pizza" (or their version of it - it was terrible, no flavor, restaurant was extremely understaffed and the wait times were laughable.)

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
maybe it was the size of the ship or the duration but it seemed like the activities were lackluster. There was little excitement from any of the ship's activity crew to get involvement from passengers

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The only good entertainment we saw was one of the Comedian's (B.T.) was hilarious and the DJ at the night club after 11:30pm was great too. Everything else was very dry.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff seemed tired and overworked. Our room attendant would take our towels and drinking glasses while cleaning our room and not being new ones back. We had to call our attendant many times asking for new towels and once we were told to go rent pool towels up at another deck as our attendant wasn't currently one duty. NOT OK! We also noticed that the diningroom staff didn't take much interest in getting to know our group. We were a group of 5 women on a "girls getaway" having a blast. The diningroom staff seemed like they had too many tables for each person. We've been on so many cruises and it's usually the diningroom staff who completly makes the experience.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I went on this same ship 5 years ago and the experience was much different - much more exciting.... this time, It was okay... but just okay

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The room didn't have a fridge!! When you have medications, items purchased on port days or the wine you're allowed to bring on board but no fridge - that was a really poor experience! Our room seemed crowded until we decided to use the windowsill as a storage place for luggage. Our beds were made daily but our requests for new towels or glasses were never fulfilled.

Ship tip

If you can pick a different (more updated) Carnival ship, you that route! 5 years ago this was a great ship, now - I don't feel like it's worth even an "affordable weekend" getaway. Spend the extra money for a better experience

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Key West, Florida

3 out of 5
Loved the port however, we didn't get nearly enough time to enjoy the city when our port call was from 7am-1pm and nothing in the city (worthwhile) opened until 11am. Seemed like a pointless stop.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel is always such a great time! Had a blast!
