Review summary

I would think twice before doing this cruise again especially on an old small ship like Sensation! Should have your ship descriptions correct so we would have known there was not much for our teens!!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was fun!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was good but nothing like people had said food on a cruise would be!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Pool very small and although it said there was a basketball court - there was not. Slides were also on small side. Kids played ping pong but could not locate a ball on 3rd day - they asked customer service and were told there would be no more ping pong for remainder of cruise since balls had been lost! Very disappointing for our teen kids - nothing much to do!

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Do you really think a gay meet and greet to be appropriate? Or a ‘boody’ Contest that turned into a top less boody contest? It was a low class cruise and the entertainment was taken over by the dominant class there and was embarrassing! The only highlight was the band Tequila Mockingbird

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Nothing much went on for our teen kids on this cruise and not much in the way of facilities for them to have fun!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great personnel- our waiter Wayan was awesome! And our cabin steward was also awesome!!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Very clean but not much to this ship! Such a disappointment!

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
It was clean and okay. I am claustrophobic and was told the window would open for a sea breeze - it did not!

Ship tip

Don’t!

Thank you for your review. My sisters and I will be cruising in June on this ship. Do they have a Casino? What about playing bingo?

That is too bad you had that experience. Thank you for sharing so others can learn from that. A couple of tips I take from this is that the older smaller ships do not have a lot of entertainment features like new ships. Twenty-five years ago it was cutting edge but now days we need more to be entertained. No excuse for not having ping-pong balls though. Also the partial week or weekend cruises are known for being booze cruises with a rowdy crowd. Well at least you know what you don't like. Plenty of other options for nice family cruises good for teens. And BYO ping-pong balls just to be sure!
