Review summary

Room R90: steward, Dedy, was friendly, accommodating, and did a great job. Orlando (Cruise Director) was funny and always providing fun activities. Ayu was a nice, funny, personable waitress in the Fantasy Dining Room. Food was amazing, service was great! Atrium with glass elevators was beautiful. Expected small interior room to be smaller than it was...it was fine except for when 3 women were trying to move around to get ready at the same time. Would have liked a refreshing pool in the adult-only Serenity area which had 2 nice hot tubs.

Seaview Bar & Grill

Great buffets and self-serve options. Guy's burgers were delicious. The Blue Iguana had flour tortillas for tacos, but I only like corn tortillas. 24 hour access to the ice cream machine was nice. The Chef's Choice varied daily depending on where we were. Most of what I tried was good. My girls had good sandwiches at the Deli.

Grand Atrium and Bar

Beautiful area with balconies on the higher floors looking over the activities by the bar. We saw a guitarist, a steel-drum player, and participated in a fun sing-a-long and dance party.

Serenity Adult-Only Retreat

This area was much quieter than the main pool where the families with children were. There were a lot of lounge chairs in the sun and a few in the shade of a roof. Hot tubs were hot and jets were powerful. I wish it would have had an adult-only cool, refreshing pool.

Resort Style Pool

We didn't go into the pool. It was too hot on that deck and too crowded with a lot of children. It's on a deck that has windows, but there's no breeze that can get in.

Ship tip

If you can't walk much, choose a stateroom near the elevator that goes where you want to be. Some of them won't let you go above or below the 8th or 9th floor.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Miami Beach along the eastern coast of FL was nice with cool architecture. Some areas of Miami look kind of rundown.

Nassau, Bahamas

The ship lets you off near the shopping in town. That's what we did. We didn't want to pay for an excursion or a taxi to take us to a beach.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

We didn't get to stop there because of high winds that would make getting to the island on the smaller boats dangerous ; so we had another sea day with added on-board activities.

Grand Turk Island

Very easy to get to a nice beach right by the ship dock with nice shops just beyond the beach.

The Serenity area was the best to me. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
