Review summary

I had a nice time and enjoyed myself. My expectations were met, but I did not find anything to be extraordinary; I felt that the quality of the food was not like I remembered. Again, it seemed to be focused on quantity not quality.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived early for our embarkation and boarded right away. No lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I felt the focus was on quantity over quality. Items in the main dining room were good, several choices were offered for a surcharge. Tropical fruit and berries were absent from the fruit choices.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The water slides were fun. There were plenty of open air decks. Several traditional on board activities were offered.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The cruise director and dj's had good energy and were able to get guests involved. The other entertainment was fine, piano and variety acts.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff were nice and helpful. The reading light was broken, but fixed as soon as it was brought to the attention of the staff.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean, and design was ok, except there were some areas where you could not pass through the ship and had to go up or down a level. Mostly blocked by the galley and dining rooms.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small window for 'oceanview'. There was a large closet with plenty of hangers and some shelving. There were not drawers or a dresser in the room,, a vanity with 2 small drawers. There were only 2 outlets in the room, one of them was not working, but was promptly repaired after it was brought to the staff's attention.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Used Carnival transfer from Fort Lauder dale to port. No problems with the transfer but went directly to the ship.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Went snorkeling, the guides were excellent. One of them spent 1:1 time with inexperienced snorkelers, guiding them from place to place, ensuring that they had a good experience. Very positive and complimentary of everyone. It was cut short as we had engine trouble and arrived to port late.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

4 out of 5
Had an excursion booked, but it was cut back due to wind. They offered a 30% discount for what sounded like 50%of a tour. The beach was great. The main gift shop was closed.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Had an excursion booked, it was cancelled due to wind. We were notified early enough that we had time to plan something else if we wanted. We opted for shopping, found the straw market when we were all through. Disappointing that it was not mentioned as a shopping alternative.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We booked an excursion and disembarked early with no trouble. The lines were short and our luggage was easily found.
