All in all we had a great time. We made the best of Freeport, but don’t ever want to go back. The other two stops were fantastic so it wasn’t a complete bust. We also had the best weather imaginable. It rained for a combined total of maybe 10 minutes all cruise. It was a great time I just think we may look into different cruise lines and different ships to see what we like the best! :)
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was a lot faster than I thought it’d be. We got our zone number and only ended up waiting about 20 minutes to actually get on board
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
They were okay, a little mundane to have the same things for much almost every day but dinner was usually pretty good in the fantasy dining room!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Having an 8 year old with us we mostly did the pool and the slides. The pool was usually overcrowded. It seemed like a pretty small pool for such a big ship. The slides were pretty fun, we mostly liked the blue racing slides! Ayden went to camp carnival one day and he really enjoyed it, even decided to go back for the afternoon activities. We ended up going to the casino while he did that.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We saw Edge, the puppet show, and a bit of the 80’s show. We thought edge was pretty good, ayden loved the towel animal puppet show, we were pretty bummed we missed out on towel animal making right beforehand though.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Ayden loved the stingrays group at camp carnival and we felt safe leaving him there to have fun with the other kids as well
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The service we had in the dining room was pretty good, Nengah interacted with ayden and made him a paper figure on our first night, Manuel was nice and attentive our second night, and Margarita ended our cruise with a great attitude and great suggestions! Our steward darmoyo made us lovely towel animals and even a heart on the last day to thank us for everything.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
It was usually pretty clean. The ship was nice enough I just think if we ever decide to sail again we will go with a bigger ship with more stuff to do. Ayden was bored with the pool and slides after awhile.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
It was a standard cabin. Nothing special nothing bad. Liked that we got an extra cot for ayden to sleep on al week.
We absolutely loved this port. We did a day pass to Atlantis and did the shallow dolphin interaction in dolphin cay! We had so much fun we are actually thinking about booking a n entire vacation just to Atlantis! The slides were so much fun and the dolphin interaction was a once in a lifetime thing! There is so much to do at Atlantis and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
We really loved this port too. The beach was breathtaking and the water was amazingly clear! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the food was awful. I bit into a hamburger and it was like concrete. I should never hear a crunch when biting into a hamburger! And the fruit was hot. I like my fruit to be really cold when I eat it and the fruit was really warm.
While we understand Turks and Caicos was damaged by the hurricane we feel as if we could have went somewhere better than Freeport. When we looked outside the morning of all we saw were industrial ships and zero beaches. We had to pay $60 just to get to go to a beach for a measly 2 hours. After that we went through the straw market and none of the souvenirs were very good either. Everything was overpriced and did not look great. We agreed that we would never voluntarily visit this port again.
Not as fast as embarkation. We got some 14 and waited around for close to 2 hours after we had to be out of our staterooms before our number was even called. Getting our luggage also took forever. I feel there could have been a little more organization there as well. They had A B and C, but we’re just throwing bags wherever. It could have been organized much better than it was.
I've been on a few carnivals and a few Norwegians and hands down Norwegian is the best!! Getting ready to go on Royal Caribbean to see what they have to offer.
