Review summary

Our cabin maid was great. He always had our room made up and fresh towels. I liked that we stopped in key west but only got half a day there. We had to be back on the boat by 1 pm. That didn't give us much time to explore like we wanted to. The buffet lines were overcrowded and the food was mediocre. My family loved the pizza but there was usually a line and only 1 person working the pizza station. The burgers and fries at guys burgers were also very good and the taco station next to it was decent.  The comedians were great. We caught most of the comedy shows and even took the kids to a pg show and we still had a great time. The ship is old and outdated. Pool is small and overcrowded with teens and kids. Same goes for the hot tubs. There should be a kid and teen pool on the kid water slide deck. That would free up the main pool for adults. I avoided the pool area for most of the trip. Kids and teens were running all over the boat at all hours of the day and night. Thank goodness they had a 21 and over deck in the back of the boat with 2 hot tubs. We spent a lot of time there. The floors are not clearly marked and we saw a lot of people lost and didn't know what floor they were on. Getting on and off the boat at destinations sucks and debarkation was the worst. Directions for debarkation were not clear or we couldn't hear over the intercom and we ended up on the 3rd deck which was where you got off for destinations but not where you got off for debarkation. Several crew members told us to go to deck 7 but then we got stuck in the elevator because they were switched off for maintenance. After prying the elevator open and waiting for 30 minutes for a crew member who was tying to help us get our bags up to the 7th floor in fear of missing our flight we carried our luggage back up to the 7th floor and the crew did help us to the front of the line and exit. To sum things up the crew was great but the boat was old and the food was mediocre. Next time we will try Norwegian or Royal Caribbean or at least a newer carnival ship.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
ship is old and needs improvements. Staff did try to keep it as clean as possible

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Saw a large patch of rust in the bathroom door frame. It was tight for us but we did have 5 people in 1 cabin so it's to be expected.

Ship tip

Bring a power strip. Only 1 outlet in the cabin. Try to eat at off peak hours because the buffet lines are ridiculous.
