Review summary

The check in process was confused. We had to wait in too many lines and talk to too many people. The first thing one notices after boarding is that the decor is in bad need of updating. It is an old ship, so it can be excused for that. That being said, the ship was kept clean and in good repair. There were several small shops in the corridors and a small cafe that they surprisingly charged for. The best part of the ship was the Water Works area. On the Sensation, there was tall slide that had many turns as well as a straight speed slide. We have a 4 and 6 year old and they loved every minute of the time we had to be there. There was also some water fountains to run around in. The main pool seemed a bit small and was always crowded so we didn't go there. The kids club was of good size compared with other old ships. The check in process seemed disorganized and sometimes took a while to pick up and drop off. They offered the build a bear, which was nice, except that they showed commercials which the children saw and we would have had a hard time turning down our daughter if we hadn't already decided to do it in the beginning. They also give you a phone to call you if your child needs assistance. We had "anytime Dining" since the fixed time slots had filled. The thing we like about fixed fining is that you get the same waiter/waitress and hopefully get to know your likes and dislikes. However, we were told that we could request the same waiter, so that's what we did. We had a good waitress the first night and had then requested her the rest of the cruise. The food was good with good selection. We had a balcony room in the back of the ship (U239). An odd thing was that there was a structural support pole that restricted the opening of the door. It wouldn't be so terrible except that I hit the pole with the door every time I opened it. The balcony was nice and I think a little bit bigger than the others.

Not worth getting off. Better to enjoy the ship.
